Something remarkable happened at 44 Henry St., a grimy Chinatown tenement with peeling walls. It also happened nearby at a dimly lighted apartment building with trash bins clustered by the front door. And again not too far away, at 88 E. Broadway beneath the Manhattan bridge, where vendors chatter in Mandarin and Fujianese as they hawk rubber sandals and bargain-basement clothes. All three locations, along with scores of others scattered throughout some of the poorest Chinese neighborhoods in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, have been swept by an extraordinary impulse to shower money on one particular presidential candidate -- Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton. Dishwashers, waiters and others whose jobs and dilapidated home addresses seem to make them unpromising targets for political fundraisers are pouring $1,000 and $2,000 contributions into Clinton's campaign treasury. In April, a single fundraiser in an area long known for its gritty urban poverty yielded a whopping $380,000. When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) ran for president in 2004, he received $24,000 from Chinatown.

The promised hand-outs will draw crowds to the Clinton campaign. Higher taxes “on the rich” will force more investments out of the country and the government will reward votes, not hard work.
Socialism in the US will soon take a giant step.
Manchurian Candidate.
Senator Clinton, you claim to be an advocate for the poor. Your campaign donation records show many large donations from Chinatown in NewYork coming from people who appear to be barely able to buy food. How can you, in good faith, ask the American people to part with more of their own hard-earned money in the form of taxes to support programs such as SCHIP when you have not set the example by refusing to accept those donations to your record-setting campaign fund?
In addition to the ChiComs, it could be all sorts of others. The really interesting thing about the “investors” Hsu supposedly defrauded with his alleged Ponzi schemes is that none of them is reported as having sued either Clinton or the DemonRats generally for the great efforts the Witch and her accomplices made to vouch for Hsu and get lots of wealthy people to contribute to his ventures. Ordinarily rich people who are seriously defrauded will cast as wide a net as possible in litigation to recover the money they lost. So far the only individual who’s been sued is Hsu himself, a bankrupt grifter facing significant jail time, not a very good person to recover significant money from.
The very fact that significant litigation hasn’t been initiated against the Witch, et al, tells me that most of the contributors to Hsu’s ventures were actually DemonRat political contributors who were trying to launder their money to make it illegally deductible and attempting to make illegally excessive contributions. They apparently did this through a bundling/unbundling operation where they bundled their contributions to Hsu and others in the form of “business investments” that went deductibly bad. Then, IMHO, Hsu and others found multiple straw donors, like many of these Chinese, and gave them the illegal money on the condition that they would give it back in the form of ostensibly “legal” campaign contributions.
This is probably the biggest campaign finance fraud in history.
Was the LA Times writer dipped twice in the stupid vat! Some of these people have to be shills for fat cats using them as conduits as well as the usual extortions in China Town.
The Clinton’s will stop at nothing to gain power. Hopefully, the blogosphere will start digging into the details of Hillary’s contributors as a few of the MSM have done.
There is a gold mine of scandal to be uncovered.
Not to change the subject but this points up the problems with “multiculturalism” where immigrant groups are actually encouraged to maintain their native cultures in this country. Problem is, along with the good parts of their culture comes the bad parts, like subservience to old country power figures and groups. We need to discourage ghettoization of LEGAL immigrant groups and encourage assimilation as quickly as possible.
As to the contributions, little doubt at all this money is tainted one way or another. Maybe it’s good to have a longer campaign season (yeah, I’m sick of it too) but otherwise I’m not sure these stories would have come out.
I was in Manhattan’s Chinatown about three days ago. About every other street corner had a table manned by politicos. They were handing out pamphlets in Chinese script, except for the large heading in English:
“HEALTHCARE FOR ALL”
These people are being manipulated and lied to. This was a very big push, and someone ought to investigate.
Sorry I reposted this article. You beat me to it.
FUJIAN MAFIA......these people are paying money to Hillary for WHAT????? Getting their families here??? They don;t VOTE but they give oodles of money they can’t afford....hmmmm
I added this post as a Frontpage topic. Hope you don’t mind.:)
IMHO, this story needs to be seen by everyone. Outrageous, illegal stunts by the Clinton campaign. The FEC needs to investigate - now. If they don’t, we have no country left.
Nothing to see here...
Move on, Move on.
FUJIAN MAFIA......these people are paying money to Hillary for WHAT?????
Bill gave China the rocket staging that would have cost them billions of dollars and 20 years to perfect. It remains to be seen what the Chinese want next.
Could this be reporters realizing that Hillary is not just a fataly flawed candidate but is a criminal and that she will get buried when the real election takes place or am i just talking ragtime?
The Clintons seem to be on the Chinese pipeline for money. While I am glad this has surfaced in the LA Times, I am nearly certain there will be no investigation of whether these highly questionable sources were just a cover for illegal campaign contributions from China.
