Hi everyone....I'm here again asking for prayer for another tiny baby AND HER MOMMY.
Some of you got to know Philip and Monica through this thread 10-ounce baby.
Well, they had a little baby girl, Kaydance Noel, on September 24. She WAS due to be delivered in December but due to complications on Mom's part, she was taken early.
An update on Kaydance........she is off the vents, she just has CPAP, and is mostly on room air only. And she has been since Day 2!!!! She's being fed up to 3 cc's every two hours and is tolerating her feedings very well. I THINK she was 26 weeks, almost to the day, weighing in at 1 pound 9 ounces...Logan's weight....
For those of us who need a visual, that's the equivalent of 6 cubes of butter. Her prognosis sounds very good!!! THANK YOU GOD!!!
Monica.....was in the same hospital as Kaydance but was moved Wednesday or Thursday to a different hospital due to problems she's having. She's in ICU, due to a medical complication that the doctors still haven't figured out. They are, thru the process of elimination, ruling different things out.
She has a bad rash on her body, there was no mention of high blood pressure, although we don't know for sure. She WAS Pre-Eclamptic, which caused her blood pressure at that time to skyrocket, making it deadly for her AND Kaydance during the pregnancy.
The rash is starting to go away, although she has horrible abdominal pains.
Dad? He's a nervous wreck and could sure use our prayers too as he's having to go to two hospitals daily, for the two women in his life. We hear that he's now won Husband of the Year Award as he's been diligently cleaning that house from top to bottom so Monica doesn't have to do ANYTHING when she comes home.
She's not seen her baby since the day she left that hospital....
So! If you will be so kind as to join me in welcoming Kaydance Noel to the world, and join me in prayer that this precious child is able to come home to her (clean!) house....and PLEASE pray that Monica can heal of WHATEVER this is....and Dad...for his peace of mind and for the wisdom to know what to do....
They're a precious young couple, who I pray have nothing but the BEST in life.

No problem!!! Kaydance is doing so great!! They moved her up to an isolette which is the next bed up from the one she was in. Malachi never got to go to an isolette so we are pretty excited. She is still eating great (and they increased it a little more today).
As for us, we have been pretty busy today visiting our precious girl and other small stuff. But I’m trying to get some rest too. Think I might head off to bed now!!

Wow! Wonderful news :) Already in an isolette. This little one is in a hurry to get home with Mommy and Daddy! Wouldn’t that make a wonderful Christmas present????
Allow me to tell you one thing....get your rest now Mommy. Because when she comes home, your life is really going to change. And yes, this is the voice of experience speaking. The nights will be very short and the days very long. Worth it? You bet!!! You too will wonder forever at the miracle of this child......and it’s such a great feeling.
Our prayers continue for this family and we give thanks to God for this precious child as we again ask Him to keep her safe and help her to grow and be healthy.

Kaydance is still doing great!! The nurse said I can probably hold her tomorrow night so I’m pretty excited. I only got to hold Malachi twice and we all know it was for a sad ending. So this is extra nice for me.
Just pray she wants her Mommy to hold her as much as her Mommy wants to hold her!!!

I’ve tears in my eyes for you! I can’t wait until you can hold her!!
I got to hold my precious girl tonight. It was so great!!! I held her for about 20 minutes or so and she was so good. The nurse didn’t want her to be out too long. She pitched a HUGE fit once we put her back in her bed though. So . . . maybe that means she LOVES it when her Mommy holds her!! It’s a nice thought anyway. Maybe Daddy can have his turn tomorrow. She is also starting to put on some weight.
