PINKOS BOMBED OUT, ELVIS AT WALTER REED #114
DC Chapter ^ | June 29, 2007 | BillF with photos by trooprally (Mrs) and R.T. Delta

Posted on 06/28/2007 11:55:24 PM PDT by BillF

On June 22, FReepers from DC Chapter and beyond, together with allies, gathered outside the main gate of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WR) for our weekly support the troops FReep. At the same time, the cruel Code Pinkos and their fellow travelers assembled a block away to continue their vicious taunting of wounded troops, but they bombed out yet again.

Here is a web page describing background for the FReep, including the intense hatred that the venomous Pinkos have for our troops, except those troops who join Pinko efforts. Some photos from past FReeps will be added to the web page.

Our honor roll of those present: 3D-Joy, Albion Wilde, Bruce & Christy (WR patient & wife), BufordP, Chief (GOE), Cindy-true-supporter, DaNang68, daughterofTGSL, Fraxinus, Jimmy Valentine’s brother, Kathleen from MD*, kristinn, Lauren from VA (a different Lauren than the one who had started coming to WR in late 2005 or early 2006)*, Pasquale, R.T. Delta, SenseiErn, TacoMama, tgslTakoma, Tolerance Sucks Rocks, Tom the Redhunter , trooprally, VAFlagwaver, VictoryNY,  and BillF.   * = lurker   GOE = Gathering of Eagles

It was two years ago this month that FReepers started regularly outnumbering the Pinkos. Tonight, for the second week in a row, the evil Pinkos bombed out, managing an abysmal turnout. The America-hating traitors and their well-meaning dupes only had 5 during most of the night, but had an additional 4 make a token appearance at the end, just before they cut, run, and surrendered the night to the much larger group of FReepers.

Photos included in the report are from trooprally (Mrs.) and R.T. Delta. You can see all of their great photos by clicking: here for trooprally (Mrs.) and here for R.T. Delta. (No hyperlinks on the photos this week.)

Pinkos hold their sick psych op against wounded troops about a block from the WR main gate.

Pinkos have softened their signage since August of 2005 when they were caught by national media exposure of their "Maimed for a Lie" sign, captured in photos taken by FReepers. The evil Pinkos held signs saying that it was a vigil and had Perry guitar guy play and sing. That led Doctor Raoul to shout LET THE CAT GO, STOP THE TORTURE, CLOSE ABU MEOW. Recently, Perry and his guitar have been missing from the Pinko ranks, but it is unclear what happened to the poor cat.

In the absence of Perry, this enterprising young performer,
Elvis, opened his guitar act outside a store a few blocks away.

Comments from trooprally (Mr.):

Early on, the southwest corner had several FReepers. A young lady walked past and I nodded in recognition and she half smiled. I went back to holding my sign and waving at the passing cars. A little while later she came back across the intersection, this time thanking us for being out there. By this time, Sensei Ern was the only FReeper with me. We shook her hand, thanking her for her service.

She stayed and started a conversation. She was in Afghanistan and three weeks ago, due to heart problems, was transported to Walter Reed. She is better now and will be going back to active duty.

She learned about our Walter Reed Freep and the many other FReeps around the Country in support of her and our military, of how we rain on the moonbats parade and ruin their media coverage. To my surprise, she said that they hear about our Support The Troops Rallies while in Afghanistan. She said that it really does make a difference after hearing mostly bad news on the MSM.

As she was leaving in the direction of the moonbats, I further explained the moonbats dismal protest, how they used to be on the two corners and have since been banished into obscurity.

About 5 minutes later she was back. Turns out, she was heading down the block to enter Walter Reed by the other gate. The gate is closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. I thought military personal could still walk onto Walter Reed at the gates. In effect, she had to twice walk by the moonbats. [end trooprally comments]

We had numerous honks of support from cars passing by and honks and shouts of thanks from cars leaving WR. In particular, someone in a car leaving WR shouted "You guys are the bomb!"

Upon hearing about that shout, I realized that, if the troops and relatives think that we are the bomb, the Pinkos have really bombed out again, both in numbers and in effect.

If you can't get to D.C. to join us but would like to do something for the wounded, you can find a wealth of ideas by FReepmailing Albion Wilde, Cindy-True-Supporter, or VAFlagwaver.

Come join us every Friday night per below details between the hours of 6:30pm to approx 9:30pm.

I'll repeat my request that you join us this Friday and beyond by quoting from a FReep mail about our WR FReeps that I received and first put in a WR report, with permission and with the sender's name removed,  in Sept of 2005:

Bill,
Keep up the *outstanding* work. I am a service member who has seen combat in Iraq and have more than a few buddies that have been injured over there. ***I cannot stress the importance of the role you are playing in the states.*** The war stateside, in the public view and in the headlines will ultimately decide our country's fate. As for morale...we get angry overseas about hearing ppl whine about the war, but when we hear these stories  we are profoundly rejuvenated. I commend you for your service and bringing the fight to the enemy!!

Will you come out this Friday night to help cover the backs of our brave troops against the psyche-ops of treacherous Code Pink and their allies? Will you help our troops become "profoundly rejuvenated?"

Please don't let the troops think that regular Americans are too busy with TV, ballgames, movies and other recreation to peacefully counter America-hating leftists.

As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Fridays, 6:30 to 9:30 pm                     Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Ave., at Elder St., NW, Washington, DC

On street parking is usually easy to find. Location is about 6 or 7 blocks from Takoma metro station and is walkable, but it is best if you get a ride. If you want a ride, FReepmail tgslTakoma and me, preferably with your cell phone number as far in advance as possible. If you wait until Friday afternoon, it may be too late to coordinate a Metro ride.

Cool. We can’t thank those guys enough. I hope they are well taken care of. I can imagine that when you’ve taken a serious injury for your country, you would really want to know, and see some evidence, that someone cares and appreciates it.

Thanks for the report. Many wives expect their husbands to take them out to dinner or a movie on Friday nights. Vivien Valentine always says when I come home on Friday evening, “you are going to Walter Reed tonight.”

Great thread as always! I enjoy reading them every week. My rally buddies and I commend you for staying the course! I mentioned your rally and ours in some notes going into boxes headed to Iraq. A depressed pinko is a good thing! Keep up the bombing!

Keep up the fantastic work!

“Thanks for the kudos” from [Mrs] T.

Just to rub it in, you all missed one of the better WR FReeps this past Friday. Lots of ‘electricity’ from the FReepers and visiting Eagles. But that is what makes WR legendary. One really doesn’t know what will happen week after week.

You two have a Good 4th and take care til we see you again.

Great job, as usual, DC Chapter. Some of you in DC may know of Dave Roever, the Vietnam Vet from Brown Water Navy who visits military and military wounded and is building a mountaintop retreat for training and counseling severely wounded military personnel. Dave was blown up with a phosphorus grenade himself.

Well, Dave was at our church last night and is very sick and could use our prayers right now. He's having heart problems. Thanks in advance and thanks again, DC Chapter! You're the best.

We have ex vets who are consider “Priority 8 Vet” who after retirement who went to Iraq to help the troops as contractors who can not even apply for VA benefits, who served 13 to 24 years in the service. So no I don’t understand how BOB was able to get treatment at a VA Hospital, being that he never served NO TIME IN ANY PART of OUR MILITARY, yet EX VETS who are shot in the head can not even get in! Priority 8 Vets are vets earning over $27,000 after retiring from the military, so again how is it a news reporter (ya know who was making well as a contractor/ Ex vet get in to this VA hospital?)
