I’m one. The NRC called the other day looking for dough, and I told them to call back as soon as they’ve nominated someone other than Rudy.

Get Hildebeast elected President, that will really help the American cause - NOT! We would have a European socialist till the mullahs nuke us.

I think Rudy would only be nominated if conservatives don’t vote.

Conservatives are bolting the GOP right now because of Bush.

If this certain other issue passes we’ll be gone way before Rudy gets the nod.

That's OK. Rudy won't be the nominee. Fred will.

The G-man became a hero after 9-11. In his former political arena, he was conservative (By their standards) and his positions on abortion, gays, etc. helped him politically. However, sometimes a mans history comes to haunt him, and today he will face a Bible Belt and those calling themselves conservative outside of his little former arena that share little love for him.

He came in strong because of name recognition and a positive connection with 911. He’s a good public speaker and his campaign has money. But all that only goes so far. The more the conservatives learn about him, the more they will reject him, and he will not be able to ride to the top without having his past uncovered. His undoing will be his stance on critical issues that define social and economic conservatism to most of America: abortion, guns, taxes, gays, and personal affairs. No way will he hold together the party and rally support with his positions on these issues. Not even remotely feasible.

Tony Perkins (player of parts?), what do you think the chances are of a third party candidate winning the presidency? Or of even keeping the country safe from the Clintons and another massive sell-out of our national security? Or do you even care?

I’m not going to waste my vote on someone who does not represent my views regardless of who that allows to win. Fear mongering does not cut it.

Why doesn’t the GOP just expell him from the party like they did with David Duke?

Rudy is really a Democrat anyway so he may as well run as one.

I would not vote for Rudy OR Romney in a general election.

I have very low standards of acceptability, and it is pathetic that they can't meet those minimums.

The same ones who pouted and stayed home during the last election I suppose. And now they complain at what’s going on with liberals back in power.
Go figure.
We have had a pro-life POTUS for the past 6 years and I don’t see much has changed in the abortion issue. Rudy has made clear his SC appointments, other than that, what is there he or any prez can do?
Conservatives who pout and stay home and refuse to defeat the liberals are just as destructive as the liberals themselves. Really great for the country, huh? How is that any different than the libs who hate Bush to the point they are willing to sacrifice the entire nation til they get back total control.
Good luck starting up that purist party. You think the republican party needs you? Just as much as you need it, my friends.

Yep. I will not vote for a rhino. The only thing that will save America are Conservatives and a Conservative President. And lots of prayer.

I doubt Rudy will be the candidate but if he is I will most certainly vote for him.

How can letting Hillary or Obama get in there be of any use at all?

Look at the big picture, not single issues. Staying away from the polls is suicide.

Besides, Fred Thompson is going to be the man.

Yeah, I would bolt. The GOP hasn’t made me in the mood to vote lately. Get rid of Rooty and the Mehlman bunch, put up a conservative, and it might be better. Unless GWB and Congress pass the amnesty bill.

If that happens, the election will not matter anyway.
