Fred Thompson on Neil Cavuto FoxNews—Today: Wednesday 4-11 at 4pm EASTERN
Posted on 04/11/2007 10:05:53 AM PDT by cpforlife.org
Just saw Bill Hemmer with Neil show a preview.
Thompson said he was diagnosed with the "good" type of lymphoma a few years ago and wanted to get the info out sooner rather than later. Neil surmised that Thompson also wanted to gauge the response of the people.

There isn't any "good" NHL. It is only bad or worse. If he was diagnosed "a few years ago", the clock started ticking that much sooner.Where did you get your medical degree, where did you do your residency, what board certifications do you hold, when did you examine Senator Thompson, what tests did you run, and how soon will the hard data from those tests be published?

Not interested in the Vice Presidency. That was expected, but it’s interesting to hear him state that categorically.

He’s very good friends with his producer Dick Wolf, and several unaired episodes of L&E are already in the can. If he announces now, there’s little doubt in my mind NBC would put them on the shelf and, in effect, Fred would be sticking his friend with the cost.
It’s not in his nature.

He sounds a lot like another actor who ran for president.
Loved his comment about not concerned about singing Kum ba ya with the Congress, he is concerned about what the American people think.

I would guess May sweeps.
Of course, I’m not in the TV biz, and maybe if Fred only forms an exploratory committee NBC would let them air anyway.
But as I recall, when Buchanan formed a committee, he had to cut the cord with MSNBC (or was it CNN) almost immediately.

I went trying to email a message to Fred at www.fred08.com but it is jammed!
I expect untold numbers of people are trying to access that website in support of him and urging him to run despite the illness.

What an incredible interview.
Just reinforces my support this man.
He knows he has people on the ground just waiting to go to work, and he understands the way things can work now.
Senator Thompson, we have your 6.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it downright silly that a man shouldn't be allowed to do his job as an actor and run for President at the same time?
If NBC can't show episodes of Law and Order just because one of the actors is running for President, then why should C-SPAN2 be allowed to broadcast Senate business when fully six of its "actors" are running for President.
