Alright, FRiends. It's time to walk the talk. It's time to find out whether your faith is or isn't greater than your politics. THIS is the proving ground, and here is the test:
Please pray for Elizabeth Edwards. Pray that the Hand of God will strengthen her as she undergoes treatment. Pray that she will be able to be strong for her children. Pray that her treatment will be inordinately successful; that the grace and mercy of the LORD will be poured out upon her in miraculous healing. Pray that she will be aware from whence her help comes; that she will be drawn to her Healer in the new birth of eternal life. Pray that this bout with cancer will be, for Elizabeth Edwards, her husband, and her children, THE defining and transforming event in ALL of their lives; revolutionizing their understanding of The Holy, and bringing them into fellowship with Him.
So, join me in answering the call of righteousness.

I have never heard one conservative who has said anything bad about Elizabeth Edwards, all are praying for her. But look at what "they" say about Tony Snow.
I believe Rush read an article today that quoted her being interviewed where she stated that it looks like she might have 10 years or so.
Pray for Tony Snow too, as it looks like his time may be much shorter.
Although she may be misguided politically, I don't view Elizabeth Edwards as an "enemy". She's no Osama bin Ladin or Castro.

John Edwards may or may not have made the right decision to continue his campaign, but I do believe that he loves his wife and that she loves him too.
Of course I'll pray for BOTH of them.
This isn't "the proving ground" and it's no challenge to pray for someone just because their political perspective is different from mine.
My bet is that practically all of the praying type of folks here at FR have already been praying for Elizabeth Edwards and her family.
I know; it's really apalling to see it in print. We joke about "them", sometimes, and I think some actually disbelieve that "They" are really that vile. But, then you actually see the kinds of things "they" post...
I think it would be a GREAT thing if this thread took off and got some outside attention. I mean, what if somebody noticed and sent the link to MRs. Edwards herself? There's been no great love lost between us and the political antics of her husband, but to know that we're out here on our knees for her anyway... God only knows how that might minister to her.

I pray for anyone who has Cancer,their politics has nothing to do with it.
I think her husband loves himself more than her,but that isnt my problem its his.
You'll get no argument from me regarding Mrs. Edwards, but her husband is still an idiot of the first order.
