Thanks - he seems a lot better today but very tired as he often is after after an angina attack.

It does not help that he suffers from asthma as well which sometimes confuses both the symptoms and the medication.

We have a really bad problem with the CIA.

The airwaves in my area are inundated with CIA recruitment commercials. Even if I had the computer or linguistics skills they're looking for, I cannot imagine working in that culture. It's got to be demoralizing working for careerists and political appointees who don't seem to have any real interest in national security.

McConnell says NYT editorial page correctly reported news about senate debates on Iraq.

Obamarama up on Reliable Sources....Katy someone (the brit lady) says he is the man of hope, is original, and he looks different so may he can break out of thepack. Tummulty responds to a qeustion about Obama's "blackness" (as in not enough), Karen simply doesn't understand the whole conversation among the black community not jumping onto the Obamarama mania, and that many are rejecting him and don't consider him one of their own. Then she jumps onto the CLinton is the first black president, and so Hillary will benefit from that. Matthew Felling (whoever he is) jumps into the "are you black enough enough" versus the "he is not black enough" debate in order to weaken him. I guess they don't understand that Clinton team is behind all of this in order to weaken Obama. Or maybe they do know it, and simply won't acknowledge it.

Well at least he had the decency to do so but I suppose if he did not could he held in contempt of court or such like?

McConnell: It's correct to say we should have a full-fledged Iraq debate.

I could not believe the fuss over the word articulate to me that is a compliment full stop regardless of colour, race, background or educational qualifications.

You can be highly educated but not able to articulate your views why is not someone brave enough to say this.

The issue with Biden's quote was that he implied that any other black candidates for President had not been articulate, nor clean, etc. Here's the actual quote:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

If you watch the video (link at the CNN story) he has a distinct pause between "first mainstream African-American" and the beginning of the description of Obama as articulate, etc.  He wasn't making an bad comment about earlier black candidates, but complimenting Obama on his "fine qualities."  In written form, however, it came out really badly.  No amount of explanation was going to correct the impression once the press got hold of that spin and especially once the comedians started in.

I actually took the time to dig into this and watch the video, not just read the quote, after Brit Hume defended Biden forcefully on the Sunday roundtable after it happened.  Biden was trying to compliment Obama and it turned into a perceived slam at previous African American candidates for the presidency, probably because Biden isn't very articulate.

My earlier post was a sarcastic shot at the DBM which had bought into and pushed the spin on Biden's comment.

McConnell: We were not trying to limit debate. We were trying to broaden debate.

Tell me that I did NOT just hear Chris Wallace say to McConnell:

"But Senator I think you are confusing the facts with the political perception of this"

It was quite frightening for a few minutes but the emergency services were great both the operator and that actual paramedics even if by the time the paramedics arrived dad was almost back to normal. They were understanding and did not say we had cried wolf or anything.

Shepherd Smith used to work for Channel 7, the Fox affiliate in Miami, which was Police Car chases, Murder, Mayhem, if it bleeds it leads News. He is a little Boy that one day may become a man, but not in my lifetime. He seems to be going the other way. I can still picture the mug shot of "Sheppie" after he ran over the Liberal Reporter that tried to save a Parking place with her body after the 2000 Election recount Media Circus. He really should be serving time for that, and I have no clue why he is not. Any of us would be in Jail with the key tossed away.

It seemed to me that Tim was saying that testifying in court really restricted him from the editorializing and spinning that he is accustomed to doing on his program.

Personal opinion, we have problems with the CIA, Energy Department, State and all the others where liberals have run amok for years. Getting rid of them is difficult too because of the government unions.

McConnell did very, very well.

He refused to say whether we would go into Iran, as was appropriate. Wallace was dumb to press him on something like that.

I have this horrible feeling with all the money slushing around in this case that we are never going to get correct DNA results.

Maybe I am too cynical

Huckabee on This Week. This is the second time I've seen him on the national stage. I was impressed with his composure when he appeared on MTP. He has responded well to Steffi's questions today. He seems thoughtful and sensible, but I don't know if he has the weight to stand out in the race against the so-called frontrunners of Romney, McCain, and Giuliani.
