There would no difference between the Repubs or the rats, so why vote. It would be a waste of time.

I'm horrified by the idea of a Democrat President in 2008.
Ivan, I am not thrilled with the idea, but I would imagine in our life time we will have one. I don't know if I am horrified, but certainly not happy about it that is for sure.

Gallagher's just looking for Tony Snow's job...

I'm a Republican and if that's the ticket we end up with it's my worst nightmare.

People think Hillary Clinton is tough? You really don't know tough until you've taken on Rudy.
Uhh . . . Hillary was ready to take on Giuliani in 2000 and it was Giuliani who bailed late and got the party stuck with Lazio. I won't hold the cancer against him (though that could be an issue. Between that and McCain's age we could be looking at President Pelosi, as the Dems would drag their feet on approving a VP if McCain went first.
The rest of the problems were self inflicted by Giuliani. As someone born and raised in Connecticut but recently transplanted to rural Illinois, the northeast really doesn't understand that Giuliani doesn't get people all that excited out here. He will come in no better than THIRD in Iowa.McCain has too much of a mouth to put in the #2 spot. Better to get someone inoffensive and boring, or a solid youngish conservative if a squish gets the top spot.

Gallagher is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.Or even the heaviest sledge on the melon. Oh, wait. You were talking about a different Gallagher.
To: MadIvan
Actually I don't have too much of a problem with Rudy.
I do find it interesting that a lot of Freepers (I don't count you in this lot) who insisted that President Bush be given a pass on his RINO tendencies (CFR, spending, borders) are now getting a case of the all-over paleocon unappeasable vapors when they contemplate Rudy.

I don't think it is funny and I wasn't posting to you... You may not have been posting to me, but I have to wait while that stuff loads every time when I'm on a dial up connection. I find your text summary
Giuliani - no substance McCain - no substance MSM - no substance
to be a lot easier to get through and makes more sense.

After all, as long as the GOP nominee is .00000001% more conservative than the Dem, we must vote for him, or we're traitorous hippie scum. No, our country will be ruled by traitorous hippie scum. We'll just be noble losers who don't have any power in our own country, perhaps permanently.
President Hillary... sounds great, doesn't it!? Keep tearing Rudy down.
