We think somewhat alike.

My conscience tells me NO for abortion and anyone who supports it; NO for SSM and those who condone it and want to place it at par with marriage and I believe both stances I've taken to be Biblically principled positions and that leads me to a NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE declaration with regard to RinoRudy.

To cast a vote for JulieAnnie is to go directly against those personal convictions I hold as a Christian and I'm a firm believer the Almighty has placed within the hearts of mankind to know right from wrong and allows us to decide whether we stand firm on His principle AND his ability to lead us in righteousness or to curl up with a whimper and abandon our beliefs simply for a false perception of "winning".

When the GOP, by promoting JulieAnnie as its front nominee, expects Conservatives to abandon their closely held convictions for "politics", the GOP will lose.

Wise Americans realize "choosing the lesser of two evils" is no choice and certainly no "win". They know compromising the established virtues of moral principle has NEVER led to a positive outcome. Ever. The GOP leftists are betting heavily that fewer Americans realize that simple truth.

Now, the gun issue? Rudy would quickly rape the Constitution of the United States via regulation to rid you of your right to keep and bear arms despite any opposition, just as he did in New York. For that alone, he has no place anywhere near the Executive office of America.

Aye. A shining point in favor of Mr Bush, along with his determination on the WoT.
But we have a problem of communication.
The general public relates Bush=Conservative.
"Bush is not a conservative" must be the message,
if we are to elect an actual conservative. (Newt)
Because, God Bless Him, he isn't a true conservative.

Let's tell it the we - also Republicans - see it :) BEWARE!... Social-conservatives, Christian conservatives or moral-conservatives of ANY KIND..

*** WE NEED TO UNITE ***

WHO? I don't know, but here we are, in the middle of the Internet revolution, and yet, I feel as if someone, somewhere, is pulling the strings to elect a LEFTY 'Republican! (I still don't get used to the label /s).

I believe Guliani's CONSULTANTS team tactic is simply to DIVIDE the Republicans. Attract as many Lefty Republicans by painting Mr. RG as the CHAMPION OF NATIONAL SECURITY!... Just because, yes, He cleaned up N.Y. and acted with leadership on 9/11... Great as those things are, does not make him the Republican Presidential candidate by default...HARDLY!

And I should say, if he were a social-conservative (as DUNCAN is) THEN, I would be pulling hard for him!...But as it is NO WAY IN HELL I WILL VOTE FOR HIM!... Because if he gets elected, well, social-conservatives LOSE AND the LEFT WINS... That simple. All true social, Christian or Moral conservatives should above all, DENY out vote to the Left... And Rudy is the LEFT on social issues, and those are our issues.

Why would that be the Dems worst nightmare. They would be great for the Dem Congress to work with.

The Dem Congress could get most of the legislation they wanted passed with those guys heading things. The only person that is going to beat the Dems is a real Conservative. All you have to do is look at history to see it. Ronald Reagon is the greatest example. The 1994 takeover and Newt Gingrich is also another great example.

McCain's too old, especially for the number two slot. He's passed his expiration date.

We'll find out in the next few weeks or months how Rudy's going to run.

Obviously from a "culture wars" point of view, Giuliani isn't a "conservative."

But that red state vs. blue state culture war takes in a lot of things that the President doesn't have control over.

If Rudy shores up his support with wise positions, he could run "conservative" on the most relevant issues without "being a conservative" in the identity politics, culture war sense of the word.

We'll see soon enough whether he does or not.

Maryland has 10 electoral votes. The democrats will not win without it.

"Giuliani-McCain Ticket: Democratic Party's Worst Nightmare"

I simply can't see why this would upset the democRATs - it would ensure 45 blue states as conservatives stayed home.

I know I will NOT vote for McCain, even if he's running against Hitlery. Just ain't gonna happen.
