Citing dissatisfaction with his party's strategy on Iraq, Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (Ohio) announced yesterday that he would run for the Democratic presidential nomination. Again. Kucinich, 60, a five-term House member and one of the most liberal members of his party, made an unsuccessful bid for the nomination in 2004. He stayed in the race long after it became clear he had no chance of success. The congressman said he would announce his candidacy today at City Hall in Cleveland, where he served as mayor in the late 1970s and plunged his city into a celebrated budget crisis over the electric utility, Muny Light. As a member of Congress, Kucinich has been a vocal critic of the war and has complained that his party has not done enough to force a withdrawal of U.S. troops. "Democrats were swept into power on November 7 because of widespread voter discontent with the war in Iraq," Kucinich said. "Instead of heeding those concerns and responding with a strong and immediate change in policies and direction, the Democratic congressional leadership seems inclined to continue funding the perpetuation of the war." While many fellow Democrats have strongly opposed the war, Kucinich has suggested that Congress stop funding it. In the past, Kucinich has proposed creating a universal health care system and a national peace department.

The windmill is just around the corner on your left Dennis.
What an ass! I apologize to the world for Ohio's own Kook-cinich, Voino-sniff, and De-winer. What a bunch of spineless and clueless goofs.

Denise is the the Energizer Bunny of the democratic party.
Maybe he and Ralph can get together on the green ticket.
Most states have 'em. Up here we have "Baghdad" Jim McDermott and Patty "Osama Mama" Murray. ....among others.
He has as much chance of winning the Presidency as my grandfather, and he's been dead for 44 years.
What are they thinking when they announce a Presidential race when they dont stand as much chance as a snowball in hell.
I would stand about as much chance as Kucinich.
He even looks like he could be Harold Stassen's kid.
Here we go again...
Go Dennis!!
We need you, man!
Kucinich/Rodham '08
Great news!!!!
This reminds me of the "old days" when movie theaters would play cartoons before every movie.
Another clown joins the circus.
Dee-duh-dee!
Oh yeah? I see your Patty Murray and raise you one Sheila Jackson Lee!
Take THAT! :)
...and he still votes for 'em....consistency. :)
Hey, I grew up in Massachusetts, spent time in Connecticut and now live in California. My list of apologies would take from now until the 2012 elections to complete. A couple highlights (and trivia). I was represented by, at different times:
1) The only congressman to be defeated by the Vatican.
2) The first (maybe the only so far) congressman to die from AIDS.
*in Mr. Bill's voice* NOooooo! :)
It was funny this morning on fox and friends, steve doocy came right out and said he doesn't have a shot at all and wendall goler said he had dennis on the phone wanting to talk to steve. It was hillarous.
