Give Them Back (Nagin's New Orleans thugs refuse to return confiscated guns)

A Shocking Story of Gun Confiscation In America

The video you will see on this web site is horrifying. The crimes committed against law-abiding gun owners are beyond comprehension. The arrogance of anti-gun politicians and government officials and their hate of freedom will churn your stomach.

The law is the law, the Constitution is the Constitution. If ONE local mayor or police chief can decide what the Second Amendment means, it opens the door to tyranny—where ANY mayor or police chief can say what the Second Amendment means.

That's why I'm asking you to make a special contribution to help guarantee that all firearms confiscated by New Orleans Mayor Nagin and Police Superintendent Compass are immediately returned to our fellow gun owners.

With your help we're going to make the first time in New Orleans the LAST time in America. Thank you!

To view the video, you must have IE 6.0.

Wayne LaPierre, Executive Vice President, National Rifle Association of America On Location in New Orleans

I realize that this is another appeal for money by NRA, but in this case I think it's justified. Nagin's beurocrats are refusing to obey a court order to return the guns that were illegally seized in the aftermath of Katrina from the citizens of New Orleans by his armed thugs masquerading as cops. Thousands of lawfully owned guns are now locked up in trailers by the NO authorities, and in defiance of a federal court order they are not being returned to their owners. Serial numbers are not accepted as proof of wonership and the NO thugs are demanding written proof of ownership such as a sales receipt before they will return a gun. How many of us have sales receipts or other written proof of ownership for the guns that were passed down to us by parents or bought from private owners? In my case that would be the majority of my gun collection.

I'm not asking anyone to donate to NRA, I know lots of you don't believe that NRA is an effective organization and that Lapierre is a con man. but I think every American who believes in constitutional government should see what is happening in New Orleans as a taste of what could very well happen in our own cities or towns if and when Democrats like Nagin, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Kennedy, Feinstein, etc, take control of Congress and the the White House again.

I received this article by email and I assume the URL in the heading will take you to the NRA page which shows the videos, but I can't check it out on the preview page. If that doesn't work Ill post a link.

I doubt it.

The only ones left are Brycos and Jennings and Ravens.

I have grave doubts about any SIG226's or Gold Cups being left in a trailer, and stongly suspect they all have new homes.

OK, call me suspicious, but I have local reasons for these doubts.

they can come and get mine, I'll even give it to them in pieces too.........

The little pointy parts that move very fast first! ;-)

It also goes to show that We as citzens have been so dumbed down that we can not rally our fellow citzens to the defense of our nieghbors! The bad guys have a foothold here and not we have to fight like he!! to get rid of them. They the bad guys do not have to listen to the law or any courts they can do anything that they want to, because we are to stupid or lazy to do anything about it..

The URL in the title page works.

Be sure to click on the article's tabs to see the frightening videos of law abiding New Orleans citizens whose guns were unlawfully seized by Nagin's jackbooted thugs at the very time they were critically needed for self defense against roving armed gangs of thieves, rapists, and murderers.

And why, exactly, have they not been jailed for 'contempt of court'?

They probably don't want to give them back, because they are not in the trailers. They've been given away or sold already.

My guess would be that they wont give them back because the don't have them anymore.

They have sold them or just allowed the cops to take them home.

They will have to sue Nagin and NO in Fed court with a class action. 5-10 Million should cover it, and because what they did was illegal, NO wont be able to file bankruptcy and discharge the debt.

Winning this case will send a message to all the gun-grabbing citys that they may have to pay for their actions.

You're probably right. I don't doubt for a minute that that the uniformed thieves who took the guns from their lawful owners have the most valuble guns in their own collections by now. The rest were probably sold to whoever was willing to pay for them including the NO gangstas who were robbing and looting during the Katrina's disaster.

Nagin and the Chief's fiends probably all have one or two or three.

Nagin is a typical Democrat thug who will enrich himself and his pals any way he can while in office. I would love to see the entire NO political gang and the corrupt members of the NO police department locked up in a federal prison for what they have done to the decent people of NO.

This outrage is just an example of what would happen in any big American city where corrupt Democrats are in total control, which is almost all big cities, if a similar situation were to happen. If they can't keep the people disarmed by unconstitutional laws they will simply march in with AR15s and subguns and seize them by force. I have no doubt that Bloomberg would welcome a disaster in NYC if it would give him an excuse to sieze the guns of lawful citizens.

If we aren't ready and willing to fight when and if that happens in our own communities, which it will if the NO thugs get away with it this time, the American way of life is over and done with IMHO.

Exactly. Sick the ATF jackboots on them so they can do something worthwhile for a change.

Somehow that isn't very encouraging.

I hope I'm wrong, but Gonzales doesn't impress me as an AG who is concerned about protecting my 2nd Amendment rights. Ashcroft was an outspoken supporter of the 2nd as protection for an individual right, but I haven't heard anything similar coming from Gonzales on that particular issue.

We should declare New Orleans a 3rd world territory and build a wall around it.

I know some LA and NO residents will disagree but there is little hope for NOLA. Those people sitting around hoping that the city will heal itself are like the farmers in Zimbabwe waiting for the country to change. It won't.

You're on to something.

Just lived a while. We had something like that around here.

Confiscated weapons (The nicer ones) were sold by a couple of LEO's.

They are now enjoying the prospect of a brutal and short life in the slammer.

The real point is that these were fairly nice well-liked cops. So in a place like NOLA, I just cannot imagine anything worth $600++ being "Locked in a trailer" for long.

even if we write it off as human weakness to temptation, and not even corruption, these things happen. We had a local chief a few years ago who played "Electrolux" in the evidence room so much that many drug cases had to be thrown out for lack of evidence.

I know people around here slam the NRA from time-to-time but they did go to bat for the NO gunowners and are forcing this issue. I may even contribute here.

Though the NRA could have pressed for a law providing felony penalties for any such future gun thefdts by public officials, they instead softballed it and went for a law that provides only misdemeanor penalties.

The NRA will have to show me something better before they get my support.

The NRA already has shown you something better but I guess you don't want to admit it.
Where are the other gun organizations when it comes to passing Castle Doctine, the Manufacturers Protection Act, the Assault Weapons sunset, Shall Issue CCW laws and according to clinton, allowed the Republicans the House majority.
Let me know when that "other" gun group ever does a single thing on their own. Anything.
