This President has found that he cannot dominate the leftwing in this country or elsewhere. He knows now that he cannot overcome the overwhelming leftwing ideology that the United States has become. Clinton knew this, which is why he NEVER took America to war, he knew that we as a people could not sustain the strength it would take.
American's make decisions for America.
And they have decided on the Pacifist Party.

This is what you get for going to the UN. Had we acted unilaterally they would have just screamed. Now we have to defy them and we'll gut whatever usefulness they might have possessed in the future. We went to the U.N., so what. We took the high road -- Russia and China take the low road.
Now we act without them. Big whoo.

We're scared of what China and Russia will say.

Totally predictable. Shame on anyone who bought China & NK's well-honed good cop/bad cop routine.
We tried to warn, and lead, against proliferation but few wanted to follow. It's about time we notified the rest of the world that anything bad and nuke related from this point forward happening on non-USA soil is there problem. Anything on our soil will result in total annihilation regardless of the perpetrator's size or alliances.

he knew that we as a people could not sustain the strength it would takeIt's not the people. To put it bluntly, the 'people' almost never do anything without being told to do so or hold any opinion they didn't get from somebody else.
It's the political and business class in this country that is without scruple or courage and is filled with self-hating leftist-influenced twits.
But Bush has failed utterly to exercise proper leadership by failing to continue the momentum after Hussein's fall and by failing to arrest our domestic enemies or even to bring to trial the war criminals we have captured.
He has seen the problem, he has seen that it cannot be solved without force, partially engaged our forces, and now flinches before finishing the job.

I don't think China is afraid of too much...NK is their lapdog and will come in handy.

Oh Joy, the Bush administration got what they wanted - a resolution voted on by the end of this week. There's still a chance the UN might go all out and issue a strongly worded letter. Maybe even fine them $1.25.

Bush should have Bolton Veto this resolution. Then have Bolton tell them that they are all no good SOBs and we are withdrawing from the UN. Tell them all we will deal with NK ourselves as no resolution is better than a bad resolution.

The Serb's sent us home in body bags?
American's don't like icky and bloody war on TV, only cool Top Gunners!
You know, like our movies, blood and guts is the evil "violence" we deplore, but those Top Gun guys give us goosebumps.
Of course, the Islamic Cults know this, which is why they have defeated Israel and the US for 30 years, and have been allowed to blow up innocents in the marketplace with impunity.
All the while our only civilian "boots on the ground", ie the press, have labeled these cults as victims of US and Israel power.
And most of the world's civilians believe it, while most of the world leaders succumb to blackmail for fear of kidnappings, beheadings, and bombings, of their citizens in malls.

Bush, Condi and her Kerry-loving Nicholas Burns have reduced the United States, with all its existing power, to no more than a reed in the wind, and more helpless than the smallest nation on earth. You might as well close the DOD down, its worthless. That is the most ridiculous, bed-wetting statement I've seen here in quite awhile.
Why are you even at this forum?

How can we now after Bush's statement saying that the US would not attack NK? It would kind of be like his father's tax statement. The press would run away with it.

As long as any of us continue to delude ourselves that one man can battle the enormous power of the Commie Left in this country, who hold the CIA, State, and every Bureaucracy in Government, ALL media corps, Hollywood propaganda, the entire Academic apparatus, and the judiciary, we are lost.
Ronald Reagan could not defeat them, nor can President Bush.
The Presidency is not that powerful, and cannot sustain thru decade upon decade, but the bureaucracy CAN, along with education and culture.
We must open our eyes!
To: southlake_hoosier
