"I've never criticized President Bush"
Wrong, you have done so on many occasions, you disgraced XXX_President. And you have done so on foreign soil...
There are several articles that I linked above in the nine o'clock hour on this thread.
September 21, 2006Fox News D.C. Bureau Chief Kim Hume to Depart
Kim Hume, one of the founding Fox News Channel hires, will leave her post as VP and Washington bureau chief after the mid-term elections. There was no immediate word about what might be next for Ms. Hume, who preceded her husband, Brit, to Fox News by several months in 1996.
Story continues below...
John Moody, Fox News senior VP for news and editorial, told the D.C. bureau staff Thursday morning that Ms. Hume had raised the prospect a couple of months ago. "I want to be direct and clear. This is Kim's decision," he said.
A Fox News spokeswoman said deputy bureau chief Bruce Becker will serve as interim bureau chief.http://www.tvweek.com/news.cms?newsId=10794
And the Fox press release:
September 21, 2006 03:59 PM Eastern TimeKim Hume to Leave Position as Fox News Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief; Bruce Becker Named Interim Bureau Chief
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2006--FOX News Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief Kim Hume will leave her position after the midterm elections in November, announced John Moody, Senior Vice President, News Editorial. Bruce Becker will serve as an interim bureau chief overseeing all Washington based newsgathering efforts.
In making the announcement, Moody said, "I'd like to thank Kim for her dedication and commitment to raising the standard of Fox News throughout her ten years here. Her experience and instincts have been a driving force behind the success of the Washington bureau. She has made an indelible mark on the way we produce political news and her contributions will continue to benefit the network for years to come."
Hume added, "It's rare to have the opportunity to go out at the top of one's game. This was a wrenching decision to make. I've always wanted to finish well and that's what I'm doing."
Under Hume's leadership, the bureau covered every midterm and presidential election between 2000 and 2006, both the Iraq and Middle East wars, as well as the 2002 Washington area sniper attacks. Hume also notably led coverage in the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks on the Pentagon. Additionally, she oversaw the network's coverage of the developments in Kenneth Starr's investigation of the relationship between former President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and the subsequent impeachment.
Prior to being named to his interim position, Becker served as deputy bureau chief in Washington. He has been with FNC since its inception in 1996, and oversees the network's Washington editorial newsgathering operation, where he has managed several area based breaking news events. Before joining FNC, Becker was the executive producer for FOX's affiliate news operation and also had stints at WTTG-TV (FOX) and WETA-TV (PBS).
FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, business and entertainment news. For more than four years, FNC has been the most watched cable news channel in the nation and currently presents 11 out of the top 12 programs in cable news. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 85 million homes.
http://home.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20060921005855&newsLang=enI'm hoping this means she wants to do things like write or teach. If not it's a preliminary step towards Brit leaving. Maybe CBS is already looking to go in a different direction after, what, two weeks of Katie?
Bill CLinton ws right. We are tired of being characterized as weak on teror, when the Republicans have a lot more to answer for. I think voters are going to be asking them about the (Iraq causing terrorism) study and will hold them accountable.
Clinton said he told the Commission to make his mistakes public. What a liar.
When Ben-Veniste, Sandy and others were picking which docs. to go in... with them on the panel period...
Sheesh.
I'm anxious to see the interview. Thanks for all the effort in posting what to look for.
Thanks....
kudos to Chris for getting BJ on tape with yet MORE LIES......
I suspect it was Fox that gave Drudge the heads up to the You Tube clip.
Since Kim joined the network prior to Brit, her contract is up first.
I would be quite surprised to see Brit go to another network. No other network will allow his brand of journalism (honest, fair, and fact-based).
Just told Wallace he has a smirk on his face. He's so aggressive. This is a former President. This is great. LOL He's no statesman.
Finally I can listen and post while Fox is on ..Clinton is blowing a gasket over Chris's questions..He is sitting at Clarkes feet..and also blasting Fox.."Did you ever ask Bush why he did not do more to get Osama"..He is SOOoo intent on blasting Fox News that he is losing it!
To Chris.."You think you are so clever" He is so mad!
His attack on Chris is not improving his image but thrilling the DUers immensely ..I am sure. It took a lot of resolve for me to watch the stained one..It was worth it to see him wag his finger again.
I agree. Slipped it "on purpose". :)
From bin Laden's 1996 fatwa entitled "Declaration of War against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places."
"It is out of date and no longer acceptable to claim that the presence of the crusaders is necessity and only a temporary measures to protect the land of the two Holy Places. Especially when the civil and the military infrastructures of Iraq were savagely destroyed showing the depth of the Zionist-Crusaders hatred to the Muslims and their children,...."
"The youths hold you responsible for all of the killings and evictions of the Muslims and the violation of the sanctities, carried out by your Zionist brothers in Lebanon; you openly supplied them with arms and finance. More than 600,000 Iraqi children have died due to lack of food and medicine and as a result of the unjustifiable aggression (sanction) imposed on Iraq and its nation. The children of Iraq are our children. You, the USA, together with the Saudi regime are responsible for the shedding of the blood of these innocent children. Due to all of that, what ever treaty you have with our country is now null and void.
Bin Laden's own words show the linkage between Iraq and AQ. Your excellent translations are proof that there were concrete contacts between AQ and Iraqi intelligence. The 9/11 Commission says there were contacts between them and the Joint Congressional Resolution says that, "Whereas members of al-Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq;"
CNN, Reliable Sources, talking about this now; how CLinton attacked Chris Wallace. Roger Simon talks about how Clinton really believes there is a vast right wing conspiracy, and that Wallace isn't part of that, but Clinton really believes it anyway. Arienna Huffington likes this kind of feisty Bill Clinton (egads). David Frum tells everyone that he realizes no one has read Clarke's book, because Clarke is not that friendly to Clinton in his book, except in the beginning and the end (I haven't read it, so can't comment on Clarkes book). All in all, they gave Clinton a pass for his behavior, except Frum, who said something like it shows Clinton is not really much of a statesman.
HA! Colonel Hunt says Clinton better watch where he points that finger. WOW! Hunt says Berger and Clarke hamstrung everyone on the war on terror. Hunt says Clinton's statements were NOT TRUE.
After hearing this, I am convinced Hunt is NOT working for Hillary.
Col. Hunt just said bj better be careful pointing that finger. He lied. He was there. They were hamstrung. Never met with Woolsey!! He did little to nothing!!!
bttt
Col Hunt is correct.
