A new videotape aired on Aljazeera television has shown Osama bin Laden and senior al-Qaeda members meeting some of the men who carried out the September 11 attacks against the US in 2001. The 90-minute video apparently shows bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, taking part in the planning and preparation of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people...
The footage, first aired on Thursday, also shows Abu Hafsa al-Masri, al-Qaeda's then military leader, and Ramzi bin al-Shaiba, co-ordinator of the 9/11 attacks, meeting in al-Qaeda's training camps in Taliban controlled Afghanistan. The tape also says that a previous unknown Arab Islamist, Abu al-Turab al-Urduni, supervised the training for the attacks.
The video said the preparation for the attacks included not only flight training but also lessons in street-fighting and how to forge official documents.
The video also showed two of the 19 Islamists who took part in the attacks, Saudi nationals Hamza al-Ramdi and Wael el-Shemari. The men said that their actions were inspired by an urge to avenge the suffering of Muslims in Bosnia and Chechnya.
Let's see, who was President when America was in Bosnia?
Can we maybe now all agree that the Islamic extremists are attacking us because they're delusional religious extremists and that no amount of appeasement - be it cutting and running from Iraq or refraining from calling them "Islamic fascists" - will stop them from attacking us?
Can we also maybe agree now that, since they're going to attack us regardless of what we do, we fight them over in places like Iraq and Afghanistan rather than in our streets here at home?
And finally, can we agree that the only way to stop these terrorists in the long run is to change the conditions in the middle east (oppression and religious totalitarianism) that generate the extremism these monsters adhere to? Meaning that we must topple the tyrants that are responsible for said oppression and totalitarianism?
We probably can't, but we should. As the article above indicates, these people don't care what excuse they use to attack us. They'll use any sort of justification.

During the time of his inactivity tens of thousands of people had died in Bosnia. This is to be differentiated from Kosovo where the killing did not start UNTIL American involvement. While I can have no realistic way of divining the IslamoFascist mind, it does seem they were ticked at Clinton and the US for allowing the atrocities in Bosnia to go on as long as they had.
As far as Chechnya? I have no idea what they see as reality in their Islamo fantasy land. But one thing I do know is that in Al Queda, Chechnyans are prime movers. They are considered the most dependable and most ruthless fighters. It is possible that their inability to force the Russkies out of Chechnya caused them to pressure bin Laden to apply action against what they saw as an ally of their enemy. Why America would be considered a U.S. ally? That I don't comprehend. But then I can't comprehend the Dummie Underground either, as I have a difficulty understanding fascists.
