After missing a deadline, the U.S. Department of Commerce finally has granted a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain complete disclosure of a congressionally unauthorized plan to implement a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that critics say could lead to a EU-style alliance in North America.
The plan is being implemented through an office within the Department of Commerce called the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America," under the direction of Geri Word, who is listed as working in the agency's North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, office.
As WorldNetDaily previously reported, the White House has established executive branch working groups documented on the Commerce website SPP.gov. The Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, was issued as a joint press statement by President Bush, Mexican President Vincente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005.
Granting of the FOIA request comes after the Commerce Department missed a statutory requirement to respond within 20 businesses days.
The request was filed by author Jerome R. Corsi on June 19.
Corsi said the Commerce Department's compliance with the request is a major breakthrough.
"We're now going to get the documentary evidence to determine if the working groups in SPP.gov are creating new memoranda of understanding and trilateral agreements that under our Constitution should more appropriately be submitted to Congress as new treaties or laws," he said.
Corsi added that if this turns out to be the case, "we're going to present that evidence to the American people and let them make up their own minds."
Freedom of Information Act Officer Linda Bell mailed the "first interim response" yesterday and promises more response as batches of documents are processed, according to Brenda Dolan, a departmental officer.
Robert McGuire, attorney for Corsi, e-mailed Commerce July17, notifying the agency of the statutory violation in its failure to respond. He then received an e-mail from Dolan indicating the request was being processed. But McGuire asserted the response was unacceptable, saying the department "skipped a deadline required by law."
Ok, all you guys who say this is a conspiracy theory, its gut check time. Are you willing to consider the evidence from their files, if indeed evidence is found?
If this stays breaking...
Things seem to just find a way of disappearing lately.
Michael Medved thinks the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America is as wholesome as mother's milk and anyone with reservations about it is a conspiracy kook. He's expressed that sentiment on several occasions.
Doesn't matter, the files could say that Vicente Fox is scum of the Earth and you all will scream "conspiracy". There's an agenda to keep alive after all.
Find the business input on this sucker...and IMHO you'll find the clowns blocking border security and facilitating illegal immigration. Cross-link it with the FEC campaign donations and we'll find the politicians that have some 'splainin to do around here.
So now that they have granted the request , how long can they stall before they actually fulfill it?
Nah, I have more faith in the conservative base than that. A good dose of common sense, and ideals rooted in small unobstrusive government. Have faith in the base. ;-)
Please put me on the ping list you're making for this topic
BINGO! Call it a "private-public partnership" for border security. ;-)
Hopefully, The MemoryHole website will get them.
Although they are pretty Lib, they can really get and keep information much longer than anyone else.
But the MSM will never cover them.
Agree. Just wish I had kept track of the many Freepers who derided Corsi and others who have been sounding warnings (including automatically dismissing and dissing WND or anything it reports) and there were quite a few, so I could remind them of their catty and feckless remarks--including snide suggestions that any of us who even wanted more information about this possibility, were automatic candidates for tin foil hats.
As is the usual case with wusses like these, they will be hiding under their desks or behind their Momy's aprons.
Please put me on, thanks!
Thanks
People are connecting the dots. That the reason Bush and Clinton allowed de facto open borders is to further this North American Co Prosperity Sphere. Just look how the DC hacks whine how we can't deport millions of illegal aliens. Well, they were let in on purpose, not due to bungling and stupidity
Yeah, but its better to give them a light rather than curse their darkness. Everyone is wrong many times on many issues. I think if Dr. Corsi finds something, and the freepers who ridiculed him and us are willing to admit (to themselves most of all) that this is real...hey, welcome to the team. We will need all the help we can get. You know?
I've noticed that this is a hot topic amongst professional truckers thanks to radio programs like Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and the Rollye James show. They see the writing on the wall and fear for their livelihoods.

Ping me, please. Thanks in advance.
