Cat proves size doesn't always matter in his neck of the woods.
To his neighbors, he's a loner, a sometimes-friendly, sometimes- surly senior who spends his days wandering through the woods. He is particular about his yard. Strang ers are not always welcomed.

Current events from black bear country in Northern New Jersey. The Ledger this morning actually had a pic of this little cat sitting on the lawn staring up at the "treed" bear, absolutely hilarious.

mmmmmm....bear meatAgreed! If people knew what excellent table fare bear meat is we'd have "bear farms" (what a thought!) and people raising them for money.

Dickey believes that Jack mistook the bear for her barrel- chested chocolate Labrador retriever, Cocoa, and chased it as a game, she said. Silly woman. Jack knew it wasn't her stupid dog. My kind of cat.

While the doggie-bots around here will never admit this, based upon my observations, a clawed kitty of the domestic type can whup just about any domestic dog. Now we can add bear to the list.

As old-time Ohio State football coach Woody Hays used to say:
"Its not the size of the dog in the fight that counts; its the size of the fight in the dog."
This also explains why some violent femmes can perpetuate years of violence against their much-larger, but non-violent, husbands....but that is a story for another day....
