My French wife, a U.S. Citizen

Posted on 01/17/2006 10:50:57 AM PST by SF Republican

I would like to take this opportunity to announce my wife has received her U.S. Citizenship confirmation. The ceremony is Feb 7th. I have often mentioned her association with the French school where she teaches here in San Francisco and am very happy and proud of her desire to become an American.

Congratulations! Boy, you got your work cut out for you huh? Former marine, in San Francisco, married to a French woman! Good luck! :)

Did it take a 12 step process?

But she probably gives up easily in the fight about when to try to make a baby.

Congratulations. I know how proud you must feel. My wife's best friend earned her naturalization on July, 4 2002. It was a very moving experience.

Much better than jumping the border and constantly worrying about getting in trouble. Way to go.

Congrats to you both. I used to date a french girl, and she was always complaining about how bad our food was, how fat everyone was, and how we all dress like slobs- ha

And it is NOT easy.

I have been working with immigration lawyers to get a visa for a co-worker.

US Citizenship is a big deal and how wonderful for her
