If this line of questioning by Specter is to find out of Alito will rule against RoeVWade, then I wish Alito would just come out and say "Let's cut to the chase: you want to know if I would overturn RvW...."

20 years doesn't mean #$%& Specter! Court-sanctioned segregation existed for 60 years!

Though I don't agree with Spector's opinion on Roe .. he has been fair in letting Alito answer the questions

I think you know the difference in questioning between Spector and Kennedy, Schummer or Kennedy

I think yesterday's statements by Brownback and Coburn signal that if the left wants a RvW fight, they're going to get one.

Good point. Alito could turn the question and ask "Does your line of questioning have an agenda, or do you just want to know if I will uphold the Law?"

Fox & Friends called every single democrat on the committee to invite them on this mornings show.....every single one of them refused the opportunity.

"Can someone count how many times (up)Chuck Schumer uses the word "I" when he speaks today?
I will put the over/under at....60."

What will be the total for 'Roe'? 1000, 2000?

I think this stripes are showing

Specter has always been pro-choice .. no shock there

but this takes a bit of the edge off the abortion issue if Kennedy, Fienstein , or Schumer were allowed to bring it up first.

Agreed

"every single one of them refused the opportunity."

Yet, they grandstand on CSPAN. They want to be asked NO QUESTIONS, especially by the Fox team. (They saw what happened to Jane Harmon when questioned by Brit Hume this weekend)

I think Sphincter is giving Al-e-o-tow a good opportunity to explain his position. Ooops, here's super duper stare decisis.

"Principles dont change; facts have to be applied to them"

The left wants the principles of our nation to wrap around a situation, not dictate it

The liberals want and live by situational ethics. They want a judge who will do that.

Listening for "superduper" or "super precedent" - so far Specter is avoiding those silly labels.

He just took out of the bag.
