He wasn't very clever. He wasn't very nice. And he's been trying to make it up to a certain red-haired columnist ever since.

MAUREEN DOWD doesn't like me. This is not unusual. But unlike a lot of people, the New York Times columnist has a good reason.

Despite her new book, "Are Men Necessary?" it's not just because I'm male. And I have no argument with her book, either. The way I see it, perhaps men aren't necessary, but we are very entertaining.

Just read this myself out of the (a copy of the) paper itself.

I found it hilarious.

But Joe should just give up, with sending Chardonnay (he could send a bottle or two, to Ann Coulter, now that's a dame who appreciates good Chard...).

Instead, perhaps he might try sending different "gifts".

With a singing telegram, and a clown (to show & present the gifts) The song need not be too fancy, something corny, bad rhymes, etc., and the gifts could be;

1. Magnetic backed, removable bumper "sticker", which reads;
Cowboy Foreplay: "Get in the truck, B!tch"
for those times she's feeling particularly butch...

2. A handful of Billy-bob Clintoon's favor-ite see-gars, with the explaination, that yes, they are his "brand", good also for those times she's feeling butch, or if she feels fem, or afterwards if particularly either---or---if she just wants a good smoke!

So when are the feminists going to apologize to us?

When I was young (60's and 70's) they told us impressionable teenagers all kinds of lies. They told us that we didn't need men, that they were chauvinist pigs.

They told us that we didn't need marriage to have sex and they told us that abortion was safe. They convinced our future husbands that we could handle it all without them.

They told us that "free love" was the way to go. They didn't tell us about sexually transmitted diseases.

They did tremendous damage to an entire generation of young women, and ignored the contributions and importance of men.

Lol! Now I get why they always post Catherine Zeta-Jones pictures whenever Dowd is mentioned.
