This is pretty much a non-story. Airline service can be refused to anyone, especially if they are intoxicated and belligerent. I've seen this happen to people of all walks of life at LAX, Burbank, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and even Logan.
Sure, it sucks to be them at that moment, but I guarantee the repeat offender list is low indeed.
