I do recall news reports just prior to the invasion about Saddam burying his WMD's in the desert. So far all we have found buried in the desert were about three dozen hi-tech Soviet fighter plans. Of course, they were much harder to hide that chemical and biological weapons.

Yea and finding gas masks, syringes alongside vials of atropine which is used to counter the effects of nerve gas, laying on dusty floors at various depots. Binary shells, racin found in various chem labs, and lots of other traces of a well layed out pre-advanced plan they carried out to hide all traces of WMD's where possible.
America has a very short retention span. But no. Must not talk about those things. Bush lied, there where no WMDs. And the 1.75 tons of enriched uranium and the 500 tons of yellowcake the UN inspectors certified as being in country are just a figment of the imagination. And MiGs buried in the sand with spray systems on them are a figment of ones imagination.
This cover up is being better conducted then anything else I can remember in recent history.

That's not the weapons that he shipped to Syria with the help of the USSSR after Senator Rockefeller went to Syria to report that a US invasion of Iraq was on the horizon is it? Nah can't be them.

" Nah can't be them."
Eventually the truth will surface. Sadly these goons in the beltway shall give sufficient aid to the goons in the ME and FE, to fuel their recovering terrorist organizations. They sit laughting as they watch the exact same thing happen in the US that happened with NAM. And the rubbish that some call senators and house of representatives that are sponsoring the failed state that could have become a new Iraq and allie to the US in the ME, will as usual not suffer any consequences. They will walk away from it like they did no evil.
They have no right to stand in the same area as those that are fighting the enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan. They bring the stench of dishonor to this country once again.
This POTUS had better make some very strong speeches that border on being viewed as nasty, to shock main stream America back to it's senses. Unless large numbers of Americans write letters to these goons saying they had better get in line behind the POTUS are they are not being re-eleted, these goons are going to royaly screw up all we have accomplished so far and will have in the next year or so.

I agree, The President needs to forget about the Democrats and Republicans and concentrate on this war. He doesn't need to run for a third term as president and that could be very liberating if he will let it be.

Mostly agree. But surely he must continue to address the all the issues. What he needs are some very forcefull speaches written with a clarity aimed at the main stream American that just cannot think in the details, e.g. how the military are meeting their objectives both in battle and in training the Iraqi forces in such a way that it simply negates all the negatism generated by the bias and ill informed armed chair generals and rabid left congress, and RINOS.
As always, the problem is in how to accomplish such a task. As we are only to painfully aware, the anti-war elements target masses of people who do not get access to a balanced view, e.g. college kids, who only hear one side, and do not have the maturity to question what they are being feed.

And whatever he would come up with must be coordinated with many key senators, house reps, and military leaders to speak as one. Perhaps a series of well prepared TV adds by the RNC could in effect be effective. Lastly. Perhaps we are kneejerking to some degree. Perhaps the ravings of the like of say the drunken whale are not actually being bought by the majority of Americans, and the various rigged polls do not represent mainstream America on the Iraqi issue. But somehow I doubt that since again, a small percentage of us have explored both sides of the issue and the between, so they must be getting only the bias,mis-informed disinformation that has been peddled for some time.
