Morons In Space?
To: WestVirginiaRebel
THE contestents believe that they are taking one giant leap as space tourists. The lack of zero G doesn't even occur to them?
Sweet mercy...

They will not experience weightlessness because they are only orbiting near space. Can they really find people stupid enough to fall for this?

Can they really find people stupid enough to fall for this? Considering that there are people stupid enough to vote Democrat, I'm inclined to say yes.

The left is going to complain if those morons in space don't get to vote by absentee ballot. "Why, I was lied to and sent on a phony mission".

Democrats have zero brains and it doesn't seem to bother them either.

Wait. I've got it. Let's torch the set with all those dummies in it and then say they burned up in re-entry!

You wanna know the scary part? I have a copy of that movie on DVD. Got it as a gift a few years ago.
Haven't watched it...yet.

This is so wrong on several levels. It's just a cruel hoax that will make these poor saps fools on national TV. It also doesn't do anything to promote real space tourism, it makes it a joke. In a few years it will be possible to send people in space on sub-orbital rockets, why pull a fake stunt like this now? Wait until the real deal arrives, it won't be long.

There's also the fact that you can't see stars on video...but you would in real life...

In order to convince the contestants that they are going to Russia for a fortnights training, the producers say, they will be taken on a helicopter night flight. In reality they will fly for hours around Britain on a carefully mapped flightpath over the sea and unpopulated areas so that they do not recognise any landmarks.Star City is 25 miles from Moscow. Moscow is 1,500 miles from London. The trip from London to Star City would be about 12 hours by helicopter. Why on earth would anyone take a helicopter from London to Star City? There are regularly scheduled airline flights from London to Moscow.
Why make an abandoned air base look like Star City, when the Russians, who would sell the grandmothers for a buck, would no doubt rent out Star City to Hollywood?
The name "Space Cadets", seems appropriate for this show. These people have to be pretty stupid.

Sad thing is, since Virgin Galactic is doing a real space tourism business they could have an actual show with actual people trying out for the real ride.
