Christian God is an Extremist

Posted on 11/14/2005 11:32:41 AM PST by conserv371

The Christian God is Extremist. God is light in Him is no darkness at all. There is no unrighteousness in Him. I am the way, the truth, and the life no one comes to the Father but by me. Whoever keeps the whole law yet offends in one point is guilty of all. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men that hold the truth in unrighteousness.

I hear so much today by the left that the right-wing extremists are trying to run this country. The real question is "Is the God of the Bible real?" Why? Because the Biblical God is scarier than the right-wing extremists. You may say where is the God of love and Jesus loving children. I will reply that is true. Not coming from the book of Revelation, which some say is pure fiction, the Apostle Paul states in II Thess. 1:7b-8 "when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"...

See according to the Bible, global warming is not going destroy our planet but God's wrath will because of man's sin. This old world like a rat-infested building is condemned. The tenants are condemned. "...all the world may become guilty before God."

So where is the nice side of God? God loves the world. He is kind to ungrateful and evil people. He gives grace to humble. This God's offer is open to all. Whoever wants to can come. Christ died for everyone's sins and offers eternal life as a free gift but the free gift has to be received.

I think what scares the left most is "the Christian God". They said President acts as if he has a connection to God. This nothing new for Bible-believing Christians who believe they are adopted into God's royal family with benifits and priviledges. They believe they are part of an exclusive group.

Here is just a couple of examples: the Apostle Paul in I Cor. 10, states that when they are judged they are chasten of the Lord (spanked), that they should not be condemned with the world. (sentenced) Notice the difference. One is for correction, the other having a guilty verdict. Or another in Romans 8, "All things work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to His purpose. See the two prerequisites. This for a select group.

One may say that is no fair that God puts special favor on them. It would be but it is grace (unmerited favor)and available to anyone. There is nothing one can do to deserve it. It requires humility and faith to tap into it.

So why is this so scary? Because you are either in or out. And the in people see the one who was crucified and risen, coming again and setting up a kingdom destroying the liberal agenda. It will be a holy world. During that time and open, blatant wrong will not be tolerated.

Does this mean that extreme Christian right will continue win? No. Unrighteousness will speed up it's pace. Why? Because the prince of this world knows his time is almost up.

What people better start disproving is Noah's ark existing. Why? because if it's true then it proves God judges wickedness and if it happened in Genesis then it will surely happen in Revelation.

While I agree completely, why is this vanity posted in Breaking News?

Sometimes I wonder why Jesus Christ is attacked with such viciousness. I don't know the answer.

He didn't come to be popular.

He also said He didn't come to bring peace, but that He would set father against son and mother against daughter.

Jesus, by His vary nature is by far the most controversial person alive.

His contemporaries were hateful to Him. How much more for those who have never seen Him.

It offends people when you tell them they need to be forgiven of their sins.... And that is simply to be expected.

Maybe it is because people know deep inside there maybe something right about it but would rather attack it than think about it or change.

Maybe it is because becoming a Christian is so against everything we now believe in our culture (being cool, materialism, it is all about me, PC politics, etc.). Maybe it is because some live their entire lives in a set of beliefs and near the end of it look back and see it all mattered for nothing and are pissed.

Sometimes the concept of hell gets people worked up. The argument on "How can a good God cast people into hell when they have lived a pretty good life" is false logic. Hell is a place where God is absent. This is exactly what the people who rejected God all their lives wanted. The "pit" of hell maybe a very comfortable place where everyone who rejected God their entire lives must now reside knowing they had lived their lives in a lie. That they had wasted it all. That actually may be worse than a guy with pitchfork.

God has given us all the "free will" to chose. God has sent his only son to die for us, to suffer for our sins and to show us the way. God could have easily made a bunch of robots that would do everything he said but instead loved us enough for us to make our own decisions. So tell you relatives to make their own decision after they have reviewed the evidence. After all, Jesus Christ's resurrection is either the supreme fact in the history of mankind or a gigantic hoax. If Christ's resurrection is true -- they ignore its implications at our own peril. If not -- Christianity is the biggest fraud in the history of the world and should be easy enough to disprove. If they believe it is a hoax, then they must take an honest look at the evidence. And the evidence is overwhelming...

Then Unbelieving Priests reform'd the Nation,
And taught more Pleasant Methods of Salvation;
Where Heav'ns Free Subjects might their Rights dispute,
Lest God himself shou'd seem too Absolute.....

Exactly!

Disprove (reject...) Creation (and Noah and judgement) and you are left with no one to be accountable to.

That is correct. Besides that if liberals were to accept Jesus as the Messiah they would not be able to use the race card or any of their other talking points, these would all become mute. We are all the same in the eyes of the Creator, the Ancient of Days, the Almighty.

You sinners are really going to blow it for me! Romans 8:17-25 says that I'm supposed to be a co-heir of a great inheritance, and if you all don't knock it off it's going to get destroyed!

The answer is that Christ came to preach Peace and Salvation. Not popular then OR now
