Archaeologists working in the City of David have uncovered the edge of what they believe is the Pool of Siloam from the time of Jesus (cf. John 9).

We need to build an entire civilization above the ruins of modern Islam.
Far too interesting to let pass ping.
Most cool!
When I was in jerusalem a couple years ago I found it depressing that all the truly old Jerusalem was gone. They've recreated things and a lot of it looks very biblical but the stones Christ walked on are hard to find. I can't wait to go back and visit this site.
I wonder if the Muslim sewer grates are holy sites of great importance and thus sacred objects and impossible to remove. Certainly, one could argue that sewer grates would be highly symbolic for Muslims.
One of my favorite Bible stories, and one of the few with humor, albeit sarcasm. ("That's rich! He cured me of blindness and you 'experts' don't know where he's from!")
They will protest to the UN that they need to build a new Mosque on this very site.
I worked a dig at Banias (Caesarea Phillipi) in 1989. We actually uncovered a street on which Jesus walked without any real doubt. That was an exciting moment I will never forget.
For your list.
Argh! This is one of the MOST holy Muslim sites and we demand you leave it alone. We don't know why it is important, but it is! We think it is important because it is important to the Jews and Christians, so it must be MORE important to us. We are sure that our holy prophet Mo' must have taken a crap in this pool, making it sacred for us.
i saw the excavations at this site in February in Jerusalem. if you get a chance to hear Ronny Reich, archaeologist from Israel, he is working on this site and the massive new digs in the City of David. well worth everyone's time who is interested in this.
This simply isn't possible. I know that for a fact, since no Joooz have ever lived in Jerusalem, at least not before the evil zionists occupied it, and there was never any such thing as the "Holy Temple" for the Joooz. I know that because the muslims say so!
Mark
Probably the quickest way to locate important Jewish archaeological sites is to look first under Muslim construction.
