What just happened in sky over Los Angeles?
finny

Posted on 06/19/2005 8:27:21 PM PDT by Finny

About ten minutes ago, Husband in hills behind Brea, between Brea and Chino Hills, spotted in the northwest what looked like something entering the atmosphere. We grabbed binoculars, and it was extremely high altitude, coming in, not going out. Anybody see it? Can probably still spot it further north, as in Pasadena, etc. Grab binocs and look.

Probably something from Vandenberg.
They often shoot up rockets around sunset.

Good one. But I suspect he'd not survive the 250,000Gs acceleration ;)
(The number is real by the way)

The question is: did the beeber-like device fly over T. J. (that being tiajunna) or not?

---I saw it too, FWIW. Big object, very high, most DEFINITELY NOT A METEOR. Twin-forked burn.---

hmmm. nothing to worry about then. but if it had been a single-spooned sear, we may have had something.

Is A+Bert still alive? I thought he was recalled after he ate the giant sausage.

Introducing a note of sanity?

There is a Delta launch going on in Florida. Don't see anything at Vandenberg, especially a multi-engine booster.

Probably something from Vandenberg.

They usually launch to the south, towards the south pacific. The oberver here apparently saw it heading north west, from his position which is south Vandenberg.

He suddenly reappeared and posted a bit a few months ago, but seems to have disappeared again.
