I just got "Men in Black" and am torn between Freeping, Rush and Levin.

Rush on a roll, going Constitutional!

Answer this: If the President can stop an execution of someone in death row, even a mass murderer, why can't he stop the sentence of death for Terri????

Rush is using this to educate.

The legacy of Terri is going to be people realizing what could have been done and where the real power lies. People may not have known art. III but they will now.

People may have forgotten the extent of legislative power over the judiciary, but they will learn now.

What killed terri is our own ignorance at to how much LEGAL authority rested in "the people". The left COUNTS on ignorance. Will be fight ignorance with knowledge?

I don't think so. Look at the Netherlands. Read Peter Singer. I think that this country is at that point and that is evident by what we are doing to this woman. We are condoning mercy killing by these very actions. This action of starving Terri will just push this issue over the edge...many don't have a problem with her being put out of her "misery"...look at the poles..now it is just a matter of time before they look at the method and find a more "compassionate" way.

It reminds me of a little poem regarding Nazi Germany. When groups were taken away and jailed and killed, nobody cared to speak out because it didn't effect them. This was repeated over and over until in the end when they came for this person, there was no one left to speak for him either. Very sad that history can be repeated so easily because it's so quickly forgotten.

A little something I came up with myself. I believe it to be both truthful and appropriate.

Rush on a roll, going Constitutional!

Thanks for reminding me. Allow me to preach to the choir by harping on Article III one more time. All inferior federal courts serve at the pleasure of Congress, which in turn serves at the pleasure of the American people. If it pleases the American people Congress can eliminate all inferior federal courts, including the federal court that ruled on the Schiavo case.

Article. III.

Section. 1. The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.

Rush just made a great point. Why do all of those who complain about the "government" getting involved never consider the courts in their definition of gov't.

Go, Rush. He was late in wading into the fray around Terri Schiavo's judicial homicide, but once he became engaged he's been an articulate and well-informed commentator.

Exactly. I remember him saying last Friday that he was not up to speed on the topic so he let his callers do most of the talking. In the days since he has surpassed most out there in being able to succinctly talk about what this issue means for America.

I appreciate Rush's thoughts because he never fails to bring a fresh/different angle to the discussion.

I was thinking this morning how I never could see how the Germans accepted what Hitler was doing, and seeing polling in this country on this issue, I better understand how Adolf pulled it off.

Rush is sizzling. Ideology should not trump right and wrong. But for far too many of us, ideology is god-like.

If "Al" is what is considered a conservative than I think it's time for me to reconsider what I am. Unfortunately, it appears we have lots of "Al's" right here on FR.

Reading a nasty e-mail from a subscriber - "Let her blanking die and move on.

I loved when Rush said he did not care what people thought about his stand, nor the charges of hypocrisy, nor the lame arguments of keeping the gubmint out of our lives.

Several of the callers this afternoon have given me chills. Aside from this case, the attitude that the Judiciary branch of government is superior to the other two should scare the bejebus out of Americans. If a single judge can override the votes of the majority, either directly or through their elected representatives, we no longer live in a Republic. And this is happening more frequently.

And I agree with Rush and the poster above regarding the issue of Judicial intrusion into our lives. How many policies and taxes across this country have been mandated by the branch least accountable to the people?

The only good thing about the situtation that it exposed the judicary in the way it totaly got out of control. Please don't flame me on this.

Exactly. Rush always gets to the bare bones of the issues....what is right and what is wrong. He cares not that the left calls him a hypocrite- it still doesn't change what is right and what is wrong!
