'WASHINGTON - Sen. John F. Kerry's brash offer to meet privately with former foe President Bush [related, bio] to discuss foreign policy before Bush's meetings abroad next week with key European leaders has apparently fallen on deaf ears at the White House.
``We've offered to have Sen. Kerry (D-Mass.) meet with President Bush to discuss his trip to Iraq, if the White House is interested,'' Kerry spokesman David Wade said yesterday. ``There are many areas where genuine bipartisanship would make a difference in leading our country forward, whether in national security or children's health care.''
The White House declined comment on Kerry's recent overture.
A senior Kerry aide telephoned White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. earlier this month to make the meeting offer, a source confirmed.
But as of last night, Kerry had not received any response from the White House.

Stuff it there little man.
Kerry, you freakin' LOST!!! Get over yourself, no one cared in November what you thought and no one cares now!
Hey Kerry! The Campaign's over...and guess what! You LOST! so stop campaigning already!
Who is John Kerry?
Bush to Kerry: Kiss my ass....heh....well I guess you already did.
"The President will met with you right after his foreign policy consultation with former President Gore."
I wish Bush would just come out and say, go eff yourself gigilo, now I know Bush has more class than that but sometimes you need to stoop to the level of the opponent to get his attention!
But, but, but... He has a plan!
Sign your SF 180, Clown! You didn't have a Foreign Policy plan during your campaign...why would anyone believe you have one now?
Oh, wait! I just remembered! You DO have a plan; the USA goes belly up to anyone that challenges us!
Moron.
(Thank God for President Bush!)
This is presumptuous indeed, considering that in the long list of weak areas for Senator Kerry, foreign policy may well be his weakest area of all.
Kerry is making the obvious mistake of assuming that Dubya needs the advice of tratiors such as Hanoi John as to how to conduct foreign policy. The voters rejected that presumptuous foolishness last November. Kerry should continue his career of advising the Vietnamese communists and leaving patriots alone.
"Meet with this" gestured an unnamed source.
Hell his own wife is dropping 'Kerry" from her hyphanted name. If his own wife won't respect the Kerry name, why should Bush?
W should tell J f'n K he knows all about his plan, because he read J f'n K's website.
#13: tratiors such as Hanoi John=traitors such as Hanoi John
The title is an exmple of sensationalism in the least, an outright lie at worst. The closest thing to the title in the article was an unnamed 'senior strategist with close ties' referring to the senator as a 'junior senator'.
This guy's ego knows no bounds.
I think Bush already knows that Kerry wants Daniel Ortega back in power in Nicaragua. What's the point?
