Tuesday December 2, 2008, my first day back since the end of February. It's been a rough year. My computer blew up at the end of February, it was being "worked on" until Thanksgiving Day by brother-in-law. My car was stolen the following week in March. The car was recovered days later but insurance totalled it. Basement laundry room was flooded by backed up sewer in May, only 2-3 inches deep in most places but still sewer water. Tore quadricep in my left leg on June 29th, totally severed from lower leg, already had arthroscopy on same knee in 2002 for torn cartilege and living without ACL in that leg. Had surgery on July 17th and missed work for the entire month of July. Insurance? Yes. Medical leave? No. While out from work, neighbor was cutting our trees in our yard and dropped a large branch on our central air unit. Laid up in the middle of July with no AC... sweet. Back to work in August, sewer backs up again. Paid professional clean up... again. Medical bills and physical therapy.

Whew.... then Obama got elected.

Hoping for a better 2009.
