Since it now seems very imminent, I decided that it was an appropriate time to start this up. Links to information and pictures (if we get them) can be posted here.

Dear Mr. D: AT&T has a long history of vigorously protecting customer privacy. Our customers expect, deserve and receive nothing less than our fullest commitment to their privacy. We prize the trust our customers place in us. If and when AT&T is asked to help, we do so strictly within the law and under the most stringent conditions. Beyond that, we don't comment on matters of national security....

Friday's lead story in America's largest newspaper must have made for sober reading at AEI and the Council on Foreign Relations, the twin dorms that house the Wilsonian wings of our national parties. Americans, it appears, have had a bellyful of interventionism and globaloney. Reporters Susan Page and David Jackson merit quoting at length: "In a USA Today/Gallup Poll, nearly half of those surveyed said the United States 'should mind its own business internationally and let other countries get along as best they can on their own.' ... "The leave-us-alone mood is apparent not only in the proportion of Americans,...

When Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad got an anonymous text message suggesting he didn't wash enough, he did not take it lying down. He fired the president of the phone company, had four people arrested, took other legal action and accused those involve of conspiring with the Israeli foreign intelligence service Mossad, according to the Iranian opposition website Rooz Online. The website says Ahmadinejad, known throughout the world as a hard-liner who has threatened Israel with destruction and questioned the Holocaust, is the target of many barbs among the populace in his country.

You may not understand now what I am going to say, which has to do with separation from, and separation of, family. But you very well will understand in your own time. The illegal aliens who are now so demanding, and who are now being given their demands. and for that reason will now demand much, much more - indeed everything, from you - they talk about how those who want to have the most basic laws, perhaps people like you who want the most basic laws because you want to protect your family, well, people like you are told...

In this stuning moment of post-Alito SCOTUS shock and awe, I trust that all my decent FReeper Friends will give this humble and heartfelt post the level of respect it deserves. I thank you all in advance for any help in restoring the full functionality of my classified CIA/NSA beebing device in case I meet any trolls, Sheehans, Bidens or Shumers.

I am a fan of Limbaugh's but I think the soldiers don't need a 24/7 subscription. I think Limbaugh would've been a real mensch if he had just endorsed a standard Adopt- A - Soldier program that provided them with the normal TLC-- food, shaving kits, etc. He didn't have to get his beak wet... I would've gladly participated in a standard program, the subscription thing is a missed opportunity that risks appearing self interested. I don't care if a bonehead from Rio Linda gave him the idea.

Mrs. lafroste and I have a rather unusual problem with our two month old daughter and we'd like to solicit some suggestions on how to handle it. She was born on March 6, 2005. A few days after we brought her home, she displayed a most remarkable ability: she has full bowel and bladder control. She would hold it until we had her diaper off, and had her over a bucket. Then on a verbal signal, she would proceed to relieve herself. We told her perdiatrician about this at her 1 month check up. The pediatrician was skeptical, so we...

'WASHINGTON - Sen. John F. Kerry's brash offer to meet privately with former foe President Bush [related, bio] to discuss foreign policy before Bush's meetings abroad next week with key European leaders has apparently fallen on deaf ears at the White House. ``We've offered to have Sen. Kerry (D-Mass.) meet with President Bush to discuss his trip to Iraq, if the White House is interested,'' Kerry spokesman David Wade said yesterday. ``There are many areas where genuine bipartisanship would make a difference in leading our country forward, whether in national security or children's health care.'' The White House declined comment...

Must see TV this morning to see if Katie Couric is showing her "bitter main stream media" face this morning as she discusses the Iraqi elections. It'll be curious to see if her sad angry steely eyed gaze will be worse than back on November 3rd after Kerry's loss.

Sen. John Kerry [related, bio] yesterday described the elections in Iraq as ``significant'' and ``important'' but said they should not be ``overhyped.'' ``It is hard to say that something is legitimate when whole portions of the country can't vote and doesn't vote,'' the Massachusetts Democrat said in an interview on NBC's ``Meet the Press.'' Although the Bush administration has said the mere fact that elections take place is a huge sign of progress, Sen. Kerry said the next step is more important. ``What the administration does in these next few days will decide the outcome of Iraq. And this...

Something struck me today that jolted my thinking on the whole Swift Boat Veterans issue. As I was reading the reports of John Kerry sending campaign staff to Crawford to ask President Bush to denounce (A G A I N ! ! !) the ads put out by 527 something just smacked me in the face. Over most of the campaign year John Kerry has not faced much adversity. From the media pre-ordaining him as "the" candidate earlier in the year, to his sudden and swift winning of the nomination, to his further coronation experience at his nominating convention -...

Peter Jennings just ran a piece on Kerry's Vietnam history. Included in the piece was a bit of video after this morning's interview with Charlie Gibson. Kerry (thinking he was off-camera) ripped out his earpiece, and said "I feel like they're doing the work of the Republican National Committee."
-
Let's see if I can kick this off. During the promo at the beginning of the show, where he was standing by live in West Virginia, and throughout the interview itself, Kerry tried hard to keep this huge "what me worry?" smile plastered on his face. He coupled it with numerous condescending head shakes that seemed to imply "these poor benighted fools who so miserably misunderstand the greatness that is John Kerry."

Every one with the truth is banned at this waste of internet. HAH! Bunch of Republican butt kissers. Do you think that is where the truth is. I am proud to know what is right and to say it, not just kiss up to to Jim and the GOP. Your arrogance will be your downfall, just like Soddom and Gomorrha. I am outa here but good.
