Perhaps the cell-phones are GPS-enabled.

I can't help but think I saw a "quick response" phone number in an email, but I have searched EVERYWHERE and I can't find it. Want me to contact my GOP lawyer buddy?

Many phones *do* have GPS-tracking ability. Mine does.

Even if it doesn't, any calls made from those numbers can be triangulated by which towers they're connecting to. Call those phones and see if anyone answers. Any if calls are made from those phones, you can find out who was called.

Also, a good hacker could find out where a computer is if the thieves dial into the ISP that's configured on it. In other words, if AOL is installed on them, if the computers are used to access the internet via AOL using the login/password installed on the computer, AOL and the phone company can identify where the computer is.

If they remain gone, hopefully they're insured....

Being 'rats someone could probably just call the phones and the idiots would answer them and divuldge the location if asked...

Here ya go.....why don't you post your question over here?

Thanks, I didn't see this post before and then I couldn't get back to the FR site. My son's lap top was part of the burglary. Because they are so busy, I told them I would find the phone # that was posted last week for these break-ins. Alas, I no good at searching and came up empty. Any FReeper help is much appreciated

Yes, and Roseville should be able to afford such security.

Yes, I did. Thank you so much. I have relayed the #'s. I'm so tired of these RATS! That was a new lap top! I say LOCK AND LOAD!

what surprises me is that there are Republicans that think that the RATS are not willing to do vandalism/violence/breaking & entering/arson to win this election in spite of all the recorded instances of the RATS doing just that !!! Why wasn't this place guarded ??? Why aren't GOP party/election offices guarded???

Hindsight is great. But this is a VERY pubbie area and kerry will take the state anyway. The headquarters is inside an offie building. it's not just right on the street. New times call for different thinking.

I saw two houses in my town with 'Bush' signs that were toilet papered, wet TP put on the cars, and the signs ripped up.Dems are so sweet.

It's CAluvdubya who needs the info, I was just asking in the thread that was left, after CAluvdubya's thread was modded into oblivion. I figured CAluvdubya could use the help, FR newbie.
