Placer County is the most Republican (registered voters) County in California, more than Orange County. An event like this has Republican workers shocked that it can happen in a community like Roseville, California and Placer County.
The vandals had to break into two separate doors to access the inner office of the complex. Then the vandals broke into the 'interior office complex door' by using a crow bar to pry open the door - doing damage to the lock.
The "political thieves" had to choose between a dozen other doors inside of the complex's hallway. They obviously wanted to break into the Republican Headquarters. Leading many to believe this was all about the data (political speech attack) and not the merchandise.
The thieves stole 12 cell phones, a couple of laptop computers and the main computer containing a hard drive holding over 90,000 addresses, phone numbers and Republican data for tonight and tomorrow's GOTV drive.
The message of the vandals was more in what they DID NOT take, leaving behind a new 36-inch TV, DVD player and an envelope of 'literal cash' collect the previous day during a canvassing of the cities of Roseville and Rocklin. The cash was in the open and ignored.
Speaking with GOP County Chairwoman Cindi Sherrod, "This will surely put us back of few hours in our effort to communicate and contact this county for President Bush. We'll just forget about sleeping for tonight and do what we can to get the job done within 72 hours."
Oops, sorry about the 'crow bar'...excuse...
ping
watergate...
Amazing for this to be happening in California. I know W is popular here, but not enough to scare the Dems THIS much. Sheesh.
This is part of a well organized national terrorist campaign coordinated ultimately by Terry McAulifee and the Clintons, who head the Democratic National Committee. IMHO, that is.
by this time the republicans should know they need much higher security at their locations both during business hours and after dark.
Failing to protect the equipment you need is just idiotic.
Place a sign on the door "A person of peace and tolerance broke our window."
How strange to happen in Placer County which is so obviously Republican. They certainly are not going to change anyone's mind, nor do I believe the people can be intimidated.
Remember how the Left and its media lackies made an enormous stink, ultimately causing the first Presidential resignation in history, over the Watergate burglary? Yet a whole string of burglaries of Republican political HQs gets no MSM national attention at all.
The Dems realize they can't win unless they cheat. Unfortunately, they can win if they cheat, and they are cheating BIG TIME!
This is very unusual for us here in Rocklin. This is a Republican, conservative and family oriented area. Truly amazing!
I would have expected that after the very first report of
a GOP office break-in, ALL offices would be guarded every
night until the election.
I'm sure there's more than a few NRA members near every
key office who would be happy to camp out there after hours.
I am very familiar with that headquarter's---they will not intimidate me to help "get out the vote."
Here ya go.....why don't you post your question over here?
You know what I think...the internal polling is WAY higher for Bush than we're all being led to believe.
CAluvdubya just posted this as a new thread, that got zapped by the mods as a duplicate. He/she needs help:
Help! Placer County California Republican headquarters were broken into Saturday night. All the computers were stolen. My son's lap top was also taken. They contacted California Bush campaign but I can't find the phone number that was posted to inform the national comittee. Any help from FReepers is much appreciated. My son is busy putting office back together and I volunteered to get this #. Thanks.First time posting, so my fingers are crossed.
Thanks.
Good luck to y'all out there. You're doing good work.
