You know the routine: You'll never hear any details. I'm imagining that O'R decided to pay her off rather than allow her to accuse him of doing things that will stick to him whether he did them or not. I really don't like Bill, but I'm going to assume that he is not guilty of whatever he was being accused of. His ego and love of his stature outweighs his love of sex, I think.
>>That likely means Mackris gets little or nothing.
No. The vast majority of cases settle, some little, some big. This one is just higher profile than most because a celebrity is involved.
Amen....I don't Juan is a cakeboy actually, he's just stupid....btw...."suck a faggot".....I'm still ROTFLMAO!
Salute!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not likely. His ratings have not suffered at all.
"Someone will end up with the tapes. I'm sure a respected journalist like Larry Flynt will get them.
"
I don't think so. The settlement terms no doubt dealt with any tapes, which were probably turned over to O'Reilly's attorneys.
Bill will probably lose his Fox News job, but they may offer him a reality show: "Bill O'Reilly's Porn Calls" or something like that.
After all, Fox, the network, has the sleaziest shows currently on television. Personally, I think the Fox network is tarnishes by the trash they broadcast as entertainment.
Settles, means he paid something. We may or may not ever know. i think he prefers just to have it go away.
Settling is good. The alleged victim has a bulldog of a lawyer who prides himself in never settling a case and in getting astronomical awards. So if he let her settle for anything, it meant the woman's case was very weak to begin with. They were asking for what? $60 million, as I recall. Throw a mil or two her way as nuisance fee and end it fast, say I.
We can ask the question: who says talk is cheap?
"I'm curious what the settlement actually was. I'd like to see it in print. "
You're never going to know. It's all been settled and nobody's going to say a word. She got bucks. O'Reilly got off. And there it is.
We seem to be getting a lot of newbies like you lately.
The calling plans are so confusing now. I remember my first $4 million phone bill.
What say you, now?
It had to be at least $145K. That's how much Olbermann had raised so far to pay her to give HIM the tapes.
"So I guess this is the most ridiculous item of the day?"
Pretty much.
That was alleged, anyway.
Then the title should read: "O'Reilly-Mackris settle."
"all Parties and their representatives have agreed that all information relating to the cases shall remain confidential."
Usually means the defendant in the primary action (O'Reilly) shelled out some bucks, but figured if he (or Fox) is going to pay for it, they might as well get something in return - silence.
