Here's my prediction: she got some money, maybe not millions but at least a few hundred thou.... she'll decide to "go back to school" for awhile because she is unemployable in much of journalism. She'll end up as a PROFESSOR (most of her colleagues will be of similar intellect and character) in a few years at Columbia School of Journalism, teaching courses on "professional ethics" and "sexual harassment"..... watch and see, something like that will happen!

Maybe more to the point, from the little I've read about her, Mackris exhibits a number of personality traits common to ancient Greek mythic characters...none referring to "cans". But whatever turns one on...

She had a rack on her - How can a red blooded Irish boy resist?

Whatever...I don't believe her. She strikes me as a troubled adult put up to this by others.

he told a caller on his show the other day that he was stupid. He repeated saying that you men out there know what I am talking about, sometimes we just get stupid.

Which reminds me of this:

Brain Cells

All babies start out with the same number of raw cells, which, over nine months develop into a complete female baby...The problem occurs when cells are instructed by the little chromosomes to make a male baby instead.

Because there are only so many cells to go around, the cells necessary to develop a male's reproductive organs have to come from cells already assigned elsewhere in the female. Recent tests have shown that these cells are removed from the communication center of the brain, migrate lower in the body and develop into male sexual organs. If you visualize a normal brain to be similar to a full deck of cards, this means that males are born a few cards short of a deck, so to speak.... And some of their cards are in their shorts... This difference between the male and female brain manifests itself in various ways...

Little girls will tend to play things like house or will be interested in learning to read. Little boys, however, will tend to do things like placing a bucket over their head and running into walls. Little girls will think about doing things before taking action. Little boys will just punch or kick something and look surprised if someone asks them why they just punched their little brother who was half asleep and looking the other way. This basic cognitive difference continues to grow until puberty, when the hormones kick into action and the trouble really begins...

After puberty, not only the size of the male and female brains differ, but the center of thought also differs. Women think with their heads. Male thoughts often originate lower in their bodies where their ex-brain cells reside. Of course, the size of this problem varies from man to man... In some men only a small number of brain cells migrate and they are left with nearly full mental capacity, but they tend to be rather dull, sexually speaking...

Such men are known in medical terms as "Republicans". Other men suffer larger brain cell relocation... These men are medically referred to as "Democrats".

A small number of men suffer massive brain cell migration to their groins. These men are usually referred to as......
............."Mr. President" (except G.W. of course, exception to every rule ;-)

Correction: There is a settlement. That likely means Mackris gets little or nothing."

You've got to be kidding. This woman got $4 million plus to shut up and get this over with. Her lawyer, of course, will get a large chunk of that, and the fed gov't another large chunk in taxes. Everyone gets a piece of the action, except for Bill O'Reilly, who never really got the piece he wanted, other than over the phone. Only in his dreams. Well, in actuality his ratings have shot up considerably. If his ratings continue to be good, he will still be the main stallion in the talk show stable of Fox Cable. Money uber alles. So I guess he does gets something too, he gets to keep his job.

why does someone who is innocent "settle" ? there is nothing to settle right? from Bill'side- there cant be any tapes, since no phone calls ever took place (bill would never ever talk like that) so again I ask, what is this talk of "settle" ?

If BOR wasn't a slime ball in this instance, he would not have settled so quickly. He can afford to fight a meritless cass. In any event, he should be held liable for felony stupidity in this case.

There is no evidence that I know of that proves O'Reilly to be a slime ball.

The accuser would have gone forward if she thought she had some kind of slam dunk case. Her lawyers would have been contacted by big bucks lawyers and by lawyers from political parties. They would have gone after O'Reilly because they knew there was money at the end of the trail AND Political Advantage.

I think they did not have the trail to prove sexual harrassment. No other women have come forward. They might have had something to suggest O'Reilly is a big-mouth cad, but that is not illegal.

Knowing that, they settled.

I'll bet they didn't get a dime over a million....and probably far less than that.

Had they lost their case, then O'Reilly would have had a case against them, and they knew it.

My, my-a little testy, aren't we? Whatsamatter, Bono, got short man's complex?

Let me explain, so that even you might understand the context of my original post: I used to watch O'Really fairly regularly; and, one thing that shined through is his accusation against various public/private figures, in issues involving litigation(to any extent)and a post-litigation agreement, the details were always kept secret from the public. This secrecy precluded the public from learning all of the aspects of the case, something contrary to "we report, you decide" policy of FNC. Yet, here we have O'Really, as a public figure, getting involved in a sexual harassment issue; and, what does he do? He enters a post litigation agreement to suppress the details of the case. Major hypocrisy in my opinion. But, no, since he has entered into the agreement, I don't expect him to break it now.

I hope I have made myself clear-do you get it?

He won't say anything. Clinton taught him well. Just act like nothing happened, everything's normal, move along, nothing to see here. Ya know?

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the "victim" pays taxes on a legal settlement.

You know, you're probably right on this. I wonder if the lawyer has to pay any taxes on his portion. Any idea, anyone?
