Prayer Request for my Dad
6-904 | Sockmonkey

Posted on 06/09/2004 6:21:43 AM PDT by sockmonkey

Please pray for my Dad. He fell down last night and fractured his hip. They are fixing to move him to the hospital in San Antonio.

He's been very weak, and on oxygen since January when he had pneumonia. He also has survived cancer, and has heart problems.

He is retired military, being a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. But more than that, he's been a good father to me, and a good husband to my mother. They've been married over 60 years so please pray for her, too as this is really difficult for her.

Your dad is in my prayers. My mother-in-law, and my brother's mother-in-law both fell and broke their hips, and both have mended wonderfully. Prayers for your doctors that they can work the same magic and have success for your dad too!

Prayers for your Dad and Mom.

May God bless them both for their service (one's wife serves too!)

Which branch of the service?

Father Lord we pray for this thy servant to be returned to full health. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Watch him closely and be sure they sit him up every few hours...lung problems are common after hip fractures and cause major, major problems! P'monia is a common problem.

I'll be in San Antonio next month for my wedding. I'll say a prayer for your family and ask the priest to do the same.
