The Stem Cell Cover-Up

Posted May 24, 2004

Activists such as Christopher Reeve have it backward when they say that restrictions on funding for embryonic stem-cell research will prevent him from walking again.

Stem-cell research constitutes one of the most exciting areas in medical science. It promises to prevent, ameliorate and cure diseases for which there are now few if any treatments. Far easier is listing what stem cells don't have the potential to do, but here are a few of the wonders in progress:

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Constitution/Conservatism; Crime/Corruption; Culture/Society; Extended News; Government; Philosophy; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: abortionlist; adultstemcells; asc; biasinthemedia; bonemarrow; cary; esc; escr; fumento; mediabias; michaelfumento; nature; prolife; science; stemcells

By pretending to expose Stem Cell Cover-Up (the title) but in fact pretending that it has benefits (the text) this article is nothing but a cover-up for the Stem Cell Cover-Up.

What about using the stem cells from umbilcal cord blood, which is present at every birth? No, that wouldn't further their pro-abortion agenda...

I was referred to this thread and noticed that Fumento wrote the article. While I don't know if you're interested in the stem cell debate, I believe you wrote that Fumento was one of your favorite authors, IIRC.
