Nice graphic, but Spain has already signaled surrender by voting in the socialists.

Very nice, but I say that nostalgically, as the Spanish just gave up.

Too late. To Spain, after their just announced withdrawal from from the coalition in Iraq - "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!".

Too late. They've already surrendered.
Al Qaeda has now helped remove a government with just a few idiots and their bombs.
The violence will continue until the intellegentia, and the rest of the left, discover that the Islamists are just ruthless, and can only be stopped by overpowering ruthlessness on our part.
They won't go away. They won't stop their ruthlessness just because we give in to a few demands. Observe Yasir Arafat.

Spain surrendered.
I refuse to believe that, if they hit us again, before the election, the American public will surrender with a vote for Kerry, like Spain did with a vote for the socialists.

I seem to remeber the new PM of Spain being involved i GAL controversy in the eighties? If so, he could be Freepers best friend since Tony Labour - despite colour?

Spain surrendered. It's not surprising considering they're mostly socialists like the rest of Europe and their close proximity to France. I don't care if there's a mountain range between them, that counts for very little in this day and age. I wouldn't be surprised if Al Queda got some help from their friends in France. It's kind of interesting how the French went on alert almost immediately.
What did the French know and when did they know it?
Maybe payback for Spain opposing France in the EU?

Spain surrendered. With all due respect to the Spanish aid to the fledgling democratic republic in Iraq, it is America and not Spain which is able to muster resolve to respond to bullies. What the Spanish electorate has done is to act as a test market which has bought the product which terrorism is selling. The Spanish electorate has endorse terrorism as a way to weaken their government. The logical response to that is to ask the Democratic Party if a terrorist attack on America would be an October Surprise reason to hope that America will reject resolution and elect appeasers.

Spaniards used to be made of sterner stuff. Goodbye Cortez and Pizarro. Hello, Chamberlain.

Sad for Spain that they couldn't live up to it.

Estoy muy triste que los terroristas hayan ganado.Es obvio que la gente ahi no saben que los terroristas no van a parar hasta que conquisten todo el mundo.
Francia sera el proximo pais que va a darse por vencido.....en mi opinion'
