I refuse to believe that, if they hit us again, before the election, the American public will surrender with a vote for Kerry, like Spain did with a vote for the socialists.
It's not surprising considering they're mostly socialists like the rest of Europe and their close proximity to France. I don't care if there's a mountain range between them, that counts for very little in this day and age. I wouldn't be surprised if Al Queda got some help from their friends in France. It's kind of interesting how the French went on alert almost immediately.
What did the French know and when did they know it?
Maybe payback for Spain opposing France in the EU?
With all due respect to the Spanish aid to the fledgling democratic republic in Iraq, it is America and not Spain which is able to muster resolve to respond to bullies. What the Spanish electorate has done is to act as a test market which has bought the product which terrorism is selling. The Spanish electorate has endorse terrorism as a way to weaken their government. The logical response to that is to ask the Democratic Party if a terrorist attack on America would be an October Surprise reason to hope that America will reject resolution and elect appeasers.
