You're right. Those who are trying to kill our troops should be left alone until we find Saddam.

Not.

We'll find Saddam eventually. Dead or alive.

In the interim, do you honestly believe that capturing his bodyguards is a bad thing? What should we do - let them go?

One of these bodyguards may talk about where Saddam is and it's one more bad guy off the streets.

Exactly. This bodyguard was providing money and resources thereby inciting violence against our troops.

So now more of our soldiers lives have been saved.

Pay no attention to immature disrupters. They will eventually be excommunicated and sent to DU.

Yes, the comment did make me wonder if we had found a "sleeper".

Bodyguards are trained in many aspects of warfare, no?

Bodyguards are generally of high intelligence, no?

Bodyguards are picked for loyalty and courage, no?

I think that capturing Saddam's bodyguards is a good action. It's not Saddam, granted, but it is getting a bad guy off the streets.

I agree. We should ignore all these ex-regime guys and just concentrate on Saddam. So what if guys like this are planning and coordinating attacks on our guys, it's not like he's an ex-dictator or anything...

Think of it like consuming a big combat grade tootsie pop. With enough patience you finally get to the soft chewy center, and the wait just makes savoring it so much more fun.

Cool! Please, let's turn this guy over to Lt.Col. Allan West. He seems to know how to get wanted intel out of those boys.

Of course I knew. I understand your humor which has very real impatience to it. I was a paratrooper many years, black, too hard bitten humor for public consumption keeps military people sane in the pursuit of 'accomplishing the mission.'

I would dearly love to hear the barracks humor of paratroopers in Iraq. Much of that you could never print here and I sure do miss it.

Getting Osama bent Laden and Sodomy Hussein are very important missions to accomplish. At least they have to run and hide or wear burkas and they dare not show their mugs. I wouldn't want the United States single mindedly out to reel me in. And I know they are really hating life right about now.

And you know the egos on either of those two will flush them out into the open eventually. There are only so many hidey holes, and neither of those idiots have the brains or common sense to make like BD Cooper too damn long. ;-)
