Trump voters who kept silent about their support for him outnumbered those who did the same for Hillary Clinton by a 2-to-1 margin.
Nearly every poll predicted Hillary Clinton would defeat Donald Trump on Election Day 2016. Trump proved all those polls wrong, thanks in part to thousands of “secret” voters who silently supported his campaign.
These aren’t the folks attending his rallies or wearing the red “Make America Great Again” hats. But they supported Trump nonetheless, and they could be invaluable to his reelection efforts in 2020.
Given how divisive Trump remains, the same effect could repeat itself in 2020. Polls in battleground states have recently shown Trump falling behind former vice president and Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden. But these polls, like the ones that showed Clinton winning in 2016, could be failing to tap into a secret reserve of support for Trump.

Given the all out war against President Trump by the Left, this bloc of secret supporters will be bigger than in 2016.
I stayed silent that but a few days before the election, I found the President two new supporters...and the issue I presented to them was abortion.
They aren’t “secret” voters to anyone with a brain.
They are “secret” to the media.
And this is a worldwide trend, not just a US or Trump connected trend. In the recent Australian elections, the pollsters once again missed a “secret” conservative vote—even in their exit polls. They simply won’t acknowledge that conservatives don’t want to talk to the liberal media.
The media has opposed Trump for years. The prevailing view (for all right thinking people) is that he is worse than Hitler. Given that, a lot of Trump supporters chose to keep silent about their support.
But once the real draining of the swamp begins, once indictments happen (and I think they will) and once people realize the level of corruption and treason which is prevalent in the elitists in the media and in government, I think the winds will shift.
What happens in 2020 if the prevailing view (for all right thinking people) is that Trump is a savior and the Democrats are a sleazy bunch of criminals? That’s a fire that feeds on itself as more and more people stand around the water cooler and talk about how brazen these criminals have been, thinking that We The People would never stand up to them.
You mean like the “secret” Australian voters that reelected the conservative government against all polling?

Trump voters either hang up or lie to pollsters in numbers large enough to skew polls. It happened in 2016.
Well, if not there’s always truck loads of “newly discovered” ballots just like the dems seem to find. :-)
Strangely enough, the electorate is now somewhat reticent about sharing their candidate preferences, wishing to avoid getting hit over the head with a bike lock by some pseudo-intellectual university quack, or their house burned down by a mob.
It’s a mystery why this is so, but perhaps a study is in order.
Gallup say about 40% of Americans follow politics closely. That leaves a lot of minds that will be made up close to election day.
I flipped many people around election day and it was the issue of Judges. Do you want to protect the Constitution as written or be ruled by legal fiat. Trump may not be the most likable being a bit of an arrogant New Yorker, but he protects the nation.
Also - Polling is becoming a dead science if they continue to use land line telephones, plus we all hang up on unsolicited telemarketing spam calls
Won’t be AS MANY secret voters this time around.
Look at the rallies.
Tons of vocal people.
Few hecklers.
Lot’s of hats.
People not ashamed to say they’re Trump fans.
Lots of minorities.
No, I see more people coming out.
The only thing divisive about our President is the Rat-Media-Crime Syndicate.

Initially, I was a Cruz supporter but when trump came down the escalator and stated he would stop ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION, I was 100% all in for him.
As it turned out, America needed a tough street fighter from NYC to stop Hellary and plan to "fundamentally transform" America into another socialist cesspool of even more corruption.
We still have the invasion problem but Trump is being forced to manage it with both hands tied behind his back thanks to the Uniparty leftists.

THAT'S how bad it is. So ‘secret supporters’? For sure and WAY more than anyone can predict.
But that's OK-Liberals can keep living in their dream world where EVERYONE loves THEIR candidates!
