A new poll released by WSB-TV on Friday night showed Democrat Jon Ossoff’s lead over Karen Handel Shrink slightly in the special election to fill an open U.S. House seat in Georgia.
Ossoff led Handel by 1.7 points, 49.7-48, among likely voters in the poll conducted by Landmark Communications. In the last WSB-TV/Landmark poll released last week, Ossoff led Handel by 2.5 points.
The poll released on Friday surveyed 800 likely voters on June 15 with a margin of error plus or minus 3.46 percentage points.
How sweet it will be if Handel can pull this off.
How is it that this heavily republican district is having a hard time electing a republican?
I make it Handel by 3-5 points when it’s all counted on Tuesday. With a margin of error that high, 1.7 points, trending down, can’t be anything but bad for Ossoff, IMHO.
What were the final polls in November on Hillary’s victory?
Did you see how much money, people and resources the Democrats are throwing into that race? If Hillary had proportionally done so in the swing states she’d probably have won.

Handel has been not so pro-President Trump like the RINO’s always are.
A Trump voter like me would not be very motivated to show up at the polls to support Handel.
I’ve read on VDARE, dare I mention it here on Free Republic,
that Handel worked for the notoriously pro-open borders flood the country with cheap labor “Chamber of Commerce” and C of C ads are being run on her behalf.
She has some strikes against her among base core Trump voters and its interesting that “Bikers for Trump” have been imported into the district to create support for Karen Handel at the end of the race.
In 2014, I kept telling people Larry Hogan wa going to win the Maryland governor’s race, even though polls kept showing Anthony Brown ahead. I said, watch the trendline. The line kept moving in Hogan’s direction, and he won.
In this race, Ossoff started out with a double digit lead, then it was 7, now it’s 2 or less. The trend line is moving Handel’s way.
