Republican Donald J. Trump has the support of 20 percent of the African-American vote in Sunday’s “Daybreak Poll” by the University of Southern California and The Los Angeles Times.

Trump’s Democratic opponent Hillary R. Clinton is the choice of 71 percent of black voters.

For the week after Trump’s Aug. 16 speech on the status of African-Americans in America in West Bend, Wisconsin, the Republican had support in the Daybreak Poll between 13 percent and 15 percent....

How much of an overall vote swing percentage are we talking compared to 2012 if Trump gets even 15% of the AA vote?

You’d be talking about several Blue States with black population going Trump: MI, PA, NJ and VA.

Hillary cannot afford to lose any of them.

Its no coincidence her campaign is hitting back with the birther issue cum race card.

Problem is black voters are not into her to the extent they were with Obama.

She has a serious problem.

Simply based on raw population statistics, perhaps 3%.

Thus, if you're question addresses the possibility of an additional 3%, the swing might be as much as 3%, which could easily make up the margin of victory. If he is really neck-and-neck with Hillary, and if he can get an additional 15%, which would be on top of the roughly 10% of African-Americans who already vote Republican in most elections.

That 3% estimate is likely to be low depending on demographics within the A-A community, for instance, in the number of young vs. old voters.

If Trump actually got 25% of A-A votes, it would be historic and would shock the Democrats to their core.

It would also make Trump a hero among Republicans, or should, anyway. I would think that by doing so he would effectively neuter those GOPe-ers who went against him during the primaries. He could - for example - say that they went against him because they objected to his efforts to reach out to A-A voters. Such a claim would probably ruin them.

Christie was the only other R that I felt had a serious shot at the white house... even though he would upset many folks here... He was the only other personality among the 16 or whatever it was running... Never got traction, so not relevant now... but Yes, Trump is on target to outperform across the board with minorities...

Not surprising, Republicans have had the message, just look at what you are doing? are things getting better? Unfortunately the messenger has always been someone that the minorities, particularly blacks would not listen to.. and to his credit Trump has not been afraid to engage directly in ways most R’s before him would not with the black community.

This trend, if it is a trend, is wonderful news for Black Americans, who have been kept on those inner city plantations by the Democrats for far too long. Now if they can wake up to the fact that the Muslim world, the cruel slave traders of Black in our very day, have done a terrible number on them, by convincing many of them to convert to Islam, of all things, dress up in the full garb and change their names to Muslim names, abandoning religions of peace in favor of the religion of mass murdering rampage of the 7th century, the political movement of death and destruction, which is the core and reason for existence of Islam, the Blacks. if they continue to wake up to how they’ve been manipulated to their own detriment, will surely reach the reality of the Reverend Martin Luther King’s dream of each person being judged on the content of his character, rather than the color of his skin. Black leaders, if you are reading this, speak out in favor of your flock. Trump’s your man.

And Christie makes Trump look like a low key statesman!!

He’s too brash. I liked him and still do, but he would have to REALLY prove in whatever position he gets that he’s pro 2nd amendment and pro life to have a chance in 2024.

You think Pence is planning on staying for the 16 year long haul?

Just remember everyone, do not start the celebration early. The fight has not been won yet and we can never underestimate what dirty tricks the Democrats will pull. Keep pushing and keep up the energy needed to overcome whatever they have in store.

Trump is on target to outperform across the board with minorities...”

Count not believe the news from Houston tonight. At least two of the four alphabet channels gave positive coverage re the Latinos for Trump street gathering. Not too many of them and all were women but it’s a rather in your face kind of event, particularly since neither of our Senators have come out in support of Trump. First positive press I have seen or heard from any minority group in the City for Trump.

AA Population is about 12% of the population, so if they roughly represent the same percentage of the electorate.. that means 15% would equate to about 1.7% of the vote... now if you go from 2008/2012 where Obama got nearly 100% of it, to Hillary only getting 85% that’s a net swing of about 3.5% as Hillary loses 1.7 and Trump gains 1.7. Just on that vote alone...

Votes Hillary can not afford to lose.. if you go to a more traditional 90 to 10 breakdown.. Trump gets a about .6% additional vote while Hillary loses .6% for a difference of a little over 1%

The problem for Hillary, is the same as its been from day one.. if she gets every person who always votes D historically to vote for her, she’s only at about 42/43%... If she loses10% more of the black vote than a traditional election, her 42/43 becomes a 40/41.. if her support among hispanics is below average, her celing goes even lower...

She is losing among I’s and has been the entire election.. Trump has been getting his R support up to traditional levels... So at this point, Trump just needs to move the undecideds to his corner and peel off whatever he can from Hillary... and I expect the “undecideds” will break overwhelmingly Trump and Trump will continue to not just write off minority voters but will continue to engage and peel off far more than anyone believes possible... and he will get a notable amount of the Blue Dog/Blue Collar dems particularly in the rust belt, and a lot of the I’s that normally trend D as well.

Hillarys Deplorable comments will cost her some I’s that lean D and moderate D’s as well.. not all of them, but a good portion of them that may have held their nose and voted for her, are GONE after that comment... And that comment galvanized and motivated Trump supporters even more and reinforced the narrative that she and liberals just hold complete disdain for the common man.

Her collapse was coming either way, but that event and her collapse on 9/11 and the blatant lies around it just moved it up a week or two....

Change is simple now, blacks need merely watch the movie, Secret History of Democrat Party.

But if they prefer willful ignorance, avoid the historical movie, you should shame those blacks. Tell them they act stupid and deserve poor.

I don’t think you mentioned the non-voters in that mix. They’re going to be big. For Trump, of course.

Christie is venal, far too uncouth and stupid to get elected outside of Jersey, and has put at least three Sharia loving Muslims on the bench, as judges. He has had no plans nor actions that have helped Jersey at all! In fact, under his stewardship, N.J. is worse than it was.

Just because he took on the teachers' unions, people believe that he is good; he isn't and could NEVER have done what Trump has managed to do!

The notion that hispanics are on giant block like blacks tend to be is a false notion from the get go. Trump will do just fine with them, he certainly won’t underperform traditional R rates with them.. this is the stuff that the left FEARS... if Trump can do and say the things he has said, their fearmongering to keep future R candidates from saying and endorsing stands are gone...

YOu can’t say that, you’ll lose the hispanic vote.. yet if Trump wins and holds normal levels or even OUT PERFORMS normal levels for an R... that exposes the lie and future politicians won’t just capitulate and refuse to take stands out of fear.

This is the reason the left is now starting to really panic... its not simply that they are starting to realize Hillary will lose.. but that Trump is not only going to win but win big, doing things they have spent decades now instilling complete fear into folks to not do. And once the realization that their fear mongering isn’t reality, the entire debate and situation changes... if someone running int he south west knows they can speak about legal immigration and enforcement of laws and hold or even improve their support among hispanic voters.... they will no longer keep their traps shut and avoid the topic and just defacto aquiesce to the liberal desires on the matter.

What is going on with Trump is EARTH SHATTERING...

If a Republican can go into the black church and simply say... look your communities are dysfunctional.... you know and I know it... has anything changed? You keep voting D, and every 4 years its worse than 4 years before... maybe, just maybe you should give the other side a shot? If a Republican can do that, and not pay a price for it... that’s HERESY to the liberal world view...

Trump is doing more to unravel the PC crap than anything else that has come along... That’s why the left’s fear is so visceral. Its not just Oh Trump might win... its that Trump in winning is exposing all of our manufactured fraud and laying it bare as well.

“Change is simple now, blacks need merely watch the movie, Secret History of Democrat Party.”

I’ve seen the movie and agree. Showings of the movie need to be scheduled asap in Black neighborhood theaters, Black Colleges, Community Colleges, Black churches across America, Black sororities, Black business associations. There is nothing that Hillary can tell them anymore than they can believe. The expiration date on Blacks’ buying her lies and Obama’s lies and Bill Clinton’s lies has possibly been reached.
