When it comes to the economy, Donald Trump is the preferred choice of American voters.
Voters overwhelmingly think Democrat Hillary Clinton will be the next president (whether they want that or not), but when they are asked specifically who would be the better candidate to “handle the economy,” 51% say Trump and only 43% say Clinton, according to the latest CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday morning.
Clinton is fighting back to change that impression. In a fiery speech Tuesday, she lashed out at Trump, calling him “reckless” and “dangerous” for the economy. His policies would cause 3.5 million Americans to lose their jobs and send the country into a recession, Clinton said, citing a new research report from Moody’s Analytics.
“Just like he shouldn’t have his finger on the button, he shouldn’t have his hands on our economy,” Clinton said.
Clinton didn’t just give a speech. Her campaign also unveiled an entire new website: www.ArtoftheSteal.biz that’s teeming with articles, data and videos bashing Trump’s record as a businessman....

Trump has created thousands of jobs. I think he knows the economy.
OTOH, what has Hillary ever accomplished... in any endeavor? Despite what she might think, her skills in money laundering are unlikely to translate to any skill in strengthening the economy.
I would trust Trump over Clinton on anything, she is not trustworthy at all.
So they trust Trump on the economy but they will still elect Hillary Clinton makes no sense

Sorry, I don’t get this. The two issues uppermost on voters’ minds is the economy and Islamic terrorism. The people trust Trump on both of these issues.

In 1993, she was a part of bringing a 4.8% GDP growth rate to a screeching halt within days.
Not only that, but she both had government planning meetings (illegally), and didn’t have them, before Bill’s first major speech after taking office.
That’s quite an accomplishment. Trump never managed anything like that.
You are right, and I am chastised. I was unduly harsh on her.
Another area where she excels is in riding a man’s coattails and taking credit for things *he* does as if she had done something herself. Without Bill’s coattails, we never would have heard of crooked Hillary.
