Des Moines, Iowa (CNN)—There are a few golden rules when it comes to campaigning in Iowa: never arrive by helicopter, leave your entourage at home and don't skip the Des Moines Register soapbox, even if you have to brave hecklers.
But the normal rules of politics don't apply to Donald Trump, who broke all of them during his visit to the Iowa State Fair on Saturday.
Trump made a grand entrance by touching down in a $7 million helicopter. He was thronged by supporters as he walked the fairgrounds and eschewed the soapbox -- where Iowans are encouraged to shout questions to candidates -- in favor of often random interactions with voters.
The day provided the latest illustration of how Trump, the GOP presidential frontrunner, is upending the race by ignoring conventional wisdom and running his campaign exactly how he wants to. The strategy stood in sharp contrast to Hillary Clinton, who lost the caucuses here in 2008 after she also broke some of this state's cherished rules.
She took fewer risks on Saturday....

I like Donald Trump’s sense of humor. You can tell a lot about a person who can genuinely laugh about things and not at the expense of others like zero does.
I lived there from 1974 to 2002, save for my time in the service and worked on two presidential campaigns and at the county headquarters, so that doesn’t surprise me.
Hillary can't laugh. She can express verbal pleasure at another's suffering, but that's it. When she tries to laugh it comes out like a bark.
There is a thread regarding a video of Hillary that was posted a few hours ago. I watched it, and found it pretty disturbing. They call Hillery “Hitlery” for obvious reasons, but the video shows her eyes darting around and bulging out. She’s swallowing and licking her lips like she’s deranged. I personally think she’s insane. It really was ‘hitleresque’.

Some people on Twitter were remarking she seemed drunk. As a NYS Senator, she fell at the NYS fair, everybody around her knew she was drunk but the media wouldn’t cover it. Security tried to whisk her away but she kept slurring and stumbled again. Had that crazy look then. I only know because I was there.
And then there’s that bag under her right eye suitable for smuggling bowling balls. That’s one vile woman right there.

just wait until the presidential debates. They will make Fox and Megyn Kelly look like amateurs.
Either she was drunk or is suffering from MS. The symptoms are the same.

If Biden runs against her, I think we may have two stroke survivors running for the Democratic nomination. Not that any Democrats ever noticed a difference!
He is a disgrace. He must resign immediately. And be imprisoned for all his crimes. And be broken on the wheel. Decorum is important!
