Ted Cruz surges to second place in polls
American Thinker ^ | April 4, 2015 | Newsmachete

Ted Cruz, starting at nearly nothing at the polls, has surged to second place, at 13%, just above Scott Walker, at 12%, and behind Jeb Bush, at 20%.

A big part of the surge undoubtedly was caused by the press attention Cruz received when he announced for president. But he also received a lot of negative press, with many, many articles by the liberal media and Republican establishment types saying he is too "extreme" to be elected. I think a lot of his rise is attributable to his taking very specific stands on the issues. If you follow the link above to the Rightscoop, you'll see him in South Carolina talking about the need to abolish the IRS and fire all 90,000 of its employees. No other candidate talks about that. He also says we have to abolish "every word" of Obamacare. When he talks in absolutes like that, it may sound "extreme" to some, but to me, it merely sounds specific. I know what he stands for.

Jeb Bush is first, of course, because he has enormous name recognition. A certain percentage of those polled might even confuse him with his brother or father. It's soft support. Scott Walker was displaced in second place (admittedly by only 1%), perhaps because of his changes of heart on immigration and/or his confused stance on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act....

Ted has not "surged" ... he was always there, and the media (lamestream AND other) just didn't want to accept that

Barring some major element .. I have a lot more confidence in salvaging some of America today than I did last week

Agreed! Jeb has a low ceiling. Ted does not. Most of Jeb’s supporters have no idea what an internationalist capitulator he is.

Senator Cruz believes in and unabashedly supports the U.S. Constitution, supports American values and loves his country. I personally have not heard any of the others in this crowded field of wannabees say anything about the Constitution. Cruz believes in America's greatness, has lived that scenario. Aside from those things aforementioned, he is one smart man.

As the left and MSN are doing their best to paint this honorable man in a bad light....research, check, and double check their misinformation...put the correct information on FR or in your newspaper.

That’s right, Jeb Bush does have name recognition. So does Terri Schiavo.

“and behind Jeb Bush, at 20%”

And that is all you need to know that this poll is Lies and propaganda. Jeb Bush does not have that many people who like him. Virtually no one on any side wants him elected as president.

The reason for the propaganda is that if they can get an unelectable candidate to be the finalist with the GOP then they can run almost any democratic candidate and win.

I’m looking forward to Cruz re-hiring all the Patriot officers zero fired, and using them to drain the swamps of leftists in all four branches.
