Republicans are starting to pay more attention to the candidates who hope to take on President Barack Obama next year, and so far that's been a good thing for Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty. Not for Newt Gingrich.

--snip--

Republicans still give Romney the highest favorability rating among announced candidates, at 61 percent. Palin, who's keeping everyone guessing about her intentions, is holding steady, too, with a 63 percent favorability rating.....

So Governor Sarah Palin, who has NOT announced her candidacy, has a higher favorability rating than anyone, including ALL the announced republican candidates, but we're supposed to believe she can't gain the Republican nomination or beat Mr. Obama next year? Huh?! My brain hurts!!

I expect some almost supernatural pretzel logic as to why the sample wasn’t right and the margin of error, blah, blah, blah, she’s been destroyed by the media, yada, yada, yada, polls this far out don’t mean nuthin’, humma, hamma, humma, etc...

He was...now all of us remember just how enamored RINOS are to Ronaldus Magnus comparisons when they think they benefit from them. It changed me from hating Rinos to loathing them ;)

Most of THOSE Republicans will vote for Obama anyway.

I'll have to keep a watch for them. I haven't seen them slithering around much today, but I've been away most of the day. :)

How nice of the AP to mention Sarah . It only took them till the 15th paragraph to mention her name , and about three more to mention that she leads the field.

I like Sarah, but she’s unelectable! Wrong sir, wrong. She’s ineluctable.

From the article:

The poll was conducted June 16-20 by GfK Roper Public Affairs and Corporate Communications. It involved landline and cellphone interviews with 1,001 adults nationwide and had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points. The survey included 429 Republicans, and that subset had a larger, 6.2 percentage point margin of error.

The qwanz poll below has been going for over a week, with 9037 respondents so far, and the pro-Palin percentage has held steady at 61%.

Should Sarah Palin run for office in 2012?

Votes: 9037

61% Yes, Sarah Palin should run for office in 2012.

37% No, Sarah Palin should not run for office in 2012.

1% I don't know. Please see my answer below.

They really do think we're all knuckle-dragging, illiterate troglodytes who can be fooled with shiny objects! Yet surveys by universities and polling firms have repeatedly shown that conservatives and Tea Party movement supporters have HIGHER education and income than your typical Democrat, by a wide margin! They really ought to read their own material!
