Hi everyone. I'm thinking about taking a breather from Free Republic for a little while. Not long, I'm sure. But, I just don't want it to interfere with my job, and I already had that happen once. I'm reading and posting much too much. I think a short sabbatical should help me break this bad habit.
See you all soon .... NOT DURING WORK HOURS!

I should now makeup some ultra difficult way to stop me from editing the proxy config file.Dude (or Lass), you need to design non-technical obstacles.
Like, control yourself -- as I plan to do. I know I can because I have before in other realms.

We will be checking DU to make sure you haven't gone over to the darkside.
Good luck friend. I didn't get to know you, but from the response I can see you were well liked.
note to self: try moving up one position in the freep org.

I will respond at an appropriate time when the breather is finished.

The opus critics are going to have their way with you for this, and I'm not going to be able to stop them. It's not an opus. An opus requires:
- A proclamation you are leaving forever.
- An explanation of the many wonderful ways you have benefitted FR -- and extra credit if most of them are wrong or exaggerated.
- A pained exploration of why FR is so messed up now. Lots of extra points for each mention of the phrase "The Old Days" or "How It Used To Be" or "All The Good Freepers Are Gone".
- A vow never to return.

OK then, this is either something like your "I'm staying" thread, or your boss caught you FReeping.

Shut the hell up already.ALMOST. Almost got me to stay. Appealing to my iconoclastic side is a good way -- but, naw...... the job is more important.
