Roger at 80 looks and sounds better than most geezers half his age.

Most musicians have gotten on board the communist train so to hell with them. I hope they all go broke and end up giving handies for Pennies in Denny’s parking lots. 95% of them are pure scum.

I say bring on the AI and destroy the music business.
If the music business were destroyed, there would still be music and jobs for musicians.

I thought Auto-Tune had already done that, at least for the singing.

Elon Musk posted on Twitter that AI could destroy humanity so it’s not just musicians.

Watch the late scenes from the movie Tommy. Daltry climbs to the top of a mountain on large boulders like he’s walking to his car in the driveway - I doubt he even noticed it was nearly vertical.
I later heard that he was the only rock musician from the 70s who managed to avoid the drug scene...

There really is no music business. It’s become so corporatized that it has zero to do with art at this point.

Roger is right to worry. The AI generation used in the latest surving and dead Beatles conflation ,Now and Then, was missing the seasoning of what Daltry calls ‘empathy’. AI is machine. It has no soul. And humans that have no soul are usually socio and psychopathic I like his advice about giving up TV. Live free without TV

Roger Daltrey is 80?!?!

I have been in love with Roger Daltrey since I was a teen. Where do I sign up?
Oh, I don’t care about his VIEWS on anything, one way or another. I’d just like to meet him. ;)

It may be too late. What the younger generation calls “music” isn’t music. Daltry was part of the British Invasion and Classic Rock. They don’t write ‘em like that anymore.

Roger has nothing to worry about, for now. Current AI-generated music sounds terrible, and in almost all cases, does not resemble, nor is inspired by the original artist.
AI can create notes of the same key, but I think AI has trouble figuring out what a good melody sounds like.

They’ll still be listening to The Who a hundred years from now.
Nobody will be listening to any of the dreck being produced today.
