Roger is right to worry. The AI generation used in the latest surving and dead Beatles conflation ,Now and Then, was missing the seasoning of what Daltry calls ‘empathy’. AI is machine. It has no soul. And humans that have no soul are usually socio and psychopathic I like his advice about giving up TV. Live free without TV

AI is machine. It has no soul.

AI is an always-wrong sometimes-useful mathematical model that can live forever, just like the number 13 for example, so doesn't really need a soul. But a few numbers *seem* to have souls.

From a law perspective, a corporation is considered a legal person. It won't be long before an AI machine will have the same rights and responsibilities.

We live in interesting times.

I think all they used AI for on Now and Then was to separate Lennon’s voice from the muddy background piano on the cassette recording he had made decades ago. They weren’t using it to conjure up a facsimile of Lennon singing. I’d agree it wasn’t the Beatles’ most soulful song but IMO that wasn’t AI’s fault.
