Andrew Moseman goes into some detail in Friday's Atlantic magazine as to why electric vehicle sales have slowed down recently to the extent that he is now calling 2024 a lost year for EVs as reflected in the title, "America’s Lost Year for Electric Cars."
Despite Moseman providing us with a myriad of obvious reasons why consumers appear to be rejecting EVs, he falls back on the easy all-purpose explanation for liberals to blame for whatever the woes: Trump's fault!

Or…. Folks are wise enough to know , a technology in its infancy is not worth investing in. If the media actually reported the pitfalls of fully EVs at this juncture , theyd sell even less.

At some point the editors need to say no to insane articles such as this. Electric vehicle sales disasters are not the fault of any politician, though some can be blamed for trying to force them on the public.

In short, they’re narrow minded anti-intellectual jerks.

It looks like their Boogyman, Putin, gets a pass here. (in fact, I could have helped the Leftists pin it Putin by blaming Putin’s exports of oil for the relatively low oil prices, thereby making EVs less of a deal ‘fuel’-wise)
Anyway, what choice do they have - it’s either Putin or Trump for literally EVERYTHING that goes wrong with their schemes (come to think of it, we hear the same thing here, quite a bit, LOL).
So, in this case it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the inconvenience, range-anxiety, cost of tire replacement, cold weather performance, hot weather performance, doors not fitting together, front-end cost, depreciation, battery replacement cost, or Tesla being run by a person now deemed to be a ‘Fascist’, that being Musk.

This reminds me of the old USSR under Stalin. Insanely stupid programs failed not because of poor planning. They failed because of “wreckers”. These poor souls were nothing more than unfortunate scapegoats.
