In the coming decade, Carl Trueman wrote recently, every single church still calling itself Christian will face a choice: Do we follow Scriptural revelation, or the Sexual Revolution? Catechism, or culture? In the world, or of the world? The cross, or the rainbow flag?
Mainline Protestantism has, for the most part, cast its lot in with the LGBT movement, with their clergy serving primarily as a convenient way for LGBT activists to accuse pastors who still hold to Christian orthodoxy of bigotry. (If those Christians can cave and still call themselves Christian, why can’t you?) These days, you can identify however you want—you can even call yourself a Christian while backing sex changes for minors and championing the destruction of the biblical sexual ethic.
Trueman’s prediction is already proving prescient—one by one, every Christian denomination is facing the choice, and most are splitting over it. Kristin Kobes du Mez, the mainstream media’s favorite Christian Reformed scholar, has become gay-affirming. Andy Stanley, the well-known evangelical pastor of North Point Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, recently hosted a conference affirming LGBT ideology over Christian orthodoxy. For those who want a bit of religion and the Sexual Revolution at the same time, there is a growing number of options.
We saw this recently at the Church of England’s General Synod, where clergy vote to allow standalone services for gay and lesbian couples which are referred to as “blessings” after same-sex “marriage” ceremonies, the latest Anglican attempt to have it both ways. Formally, they still reject same-sex “marriage”—much to the chagrin and outright outrage of the more revolutionary clergy—but bit by bit, their theological real estate is being colonized under the rainbow flag…

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
Is it a Philadelphia Church or a Laodicean Church?
2-3% of the population isn’t sustainable. All these fake churches will close. Screw them.
What choice? To choose the flag is to not be a church.
The two ‘areas of apparent worship’ should not be seen as anywhere near parallel or equal in application.
Agape love is the highest form there is. This form includes love from God to us, from us to God, and from one person to all of mankind.
This contrasts with Philia; brotherly love,
Or Philautia, self love.
Eros is the physical love or sexual desire.
Sometimes, a self sacrificing love, but most often
a time consuming, self indulgence.

We’re Orthodox Presbyterian No sign of weakening and quite the opposite. Previously UCC and before that Lutheran. Would never go back.
What God considers His church will endure. Pretty sure it WON'T be the Church of What's Happening Now. Why go to a church that is up to its eyeballs in blasphemy? We have a long-term, retired professor in our seminary who asks the question,"who is going to be responsible to make the determination that someone is a practicing homosexual?" I think its the wrong question. One way or another, the practice will come to light. If they are legitimately repentant, they can stay. If they openly condone the lifestyle, they can't stay. I don't think we would tolerate an active serial adulterer or child molester in our midst. But we are all sinners. We all must repent. Sincere repentance is a vital, essential consideration.

God doesn’t change. You cannot have Jesus and the favorite sin.
Talk about a clumsy writer. The United Methodist Church is losing large numbers of congregations because the congregations do not wish to follow the United Methodist Church’s leaders acceptance and promotion of wokism and rejection of scriptural teachings.

I do as well. As a white older male apparently I am not as welcome. Being gay seems to being some special privileges, everyone wants your business even though you are roughly 4% of the population.
